Nive build. Not sure if this would work, but replace TS with flurry and use a zealous sword.

Nice build... Like many others I have been wanting to solo him for quite some time now... Last time I tried it I used Riposte, forgetting that rits are the main problem! Anyways, just to add my own experience with the build: I run LV instead of Mending for the massive heal it gives (12 life per hit at 10 healing, with TS on it's a mini HH in itself). Also, instead of Final Thrust I brought Gash, which causes Deep Wound, making their heals 20% less effective while dealing +16 damage. I also increased the strength to 15 (lowered swords) so you can virtually keep Dolyak running all the time. I've also tried swapping Galrath with Distracting Blow, but I don't think either works better than the other.

Stee thanks a lot for all your help m8 I had absolutely no problem with your build, got my staff last night in around 15 kills. Getting the staff was great but getting the hang of the build even better.
Guys what I have noticed, ok that is what I do, I spam Tiger, Dolyak and HH as soon as its available I use it. I was able to take him down once with three mages with him, once with a mage and a rit and once with a mage and mes. But also if you take your time and really do your pulling right you can have him standing there all alone.
If you are constantly pressuring his health the rit doesn't really attack that much he is more conserned about healing Ghail, or anyway in my 15 runs yesterday that is what happened when there was a Rit with him.
The drop rate of the green is not good, like I said I did that around 15 times yesterday sucessfully and only one drop, lol but like I said before I am extremely persistand and I will never give up untill I get what I want
Haven't watched the video cause I had absolutely no problem with this, this is a kick azz build
Stee once again m8, thx for all the help

I agree. The drop rate stinks. But it is fun. The only foe's to worry about are the Ritualist. If there is only one in his group, I kill the two knights and just run in there an attack him. If there is 4 mesmers I pull one or two, because then the annoying interrupts start happening to often.

If for some reason he animates a golem don't freak out. You can pull the golem away from him and kill it and the boss will be out of range so he won't animate.
Both Ghial and his golem are pretty stubborn on aggro, but it can be done just be patient and keep pullin him away from the rits.

Yeah. You usually have to drag his as far back as the little bridge where the first group is. But you are correct. If you just keep on him, he will eventually come out of range of Ghial.

Aye-try to drag him back towards the tengu. When Ghial is out of your bubble with his golem whacking on you then start hacking away...

Try doing something else for a while then coming back to farm (in the game that is).
Edit: Tried it today and got it on my first try XD turned around and sold it XD
Also got 2 rare armors and 1 rare cane while I was getting to him O_o
I found that you didin't really need healing hands.
Eviscerate
Executioner's Strike
Flurry (Tiger Stance is really bad against the ritualists)
Disrupting Chop (Get's those stupid rits and their weapon of wardings)
Dolyak Signet
Vigorous Spirit (just as good as healing hands, doesn't take up the elite slot)
Mending
Sprint

Looks good, I have also played around a bit with the build yesterday to see if I could find a way that maybe suits my playing style more and the only thing I found that worked beter for me was to replace Galrath Slash for Gash. Looks to kill them faster at least the rits it does, I presume it depends on each persons playing style.
I have also tried Vigorous Spirit and found that it works fine untill you get to Ghail, the spell he use to slow you up to 50% when attacking just doesn't give me enough healing especially if there are 3 or 4 of his buddies around.
So far i still prefer the healing hands to Vigo because I only pull the nights then maybe a mesmer or 2 and maybe a rit if there are more than one. If I get Ghail with 2 mesmers, 1 rit and maybe a mage I would go staraight in and start working on him. Well anyway this is what I have encountered ande yes

remeber that Stee has told us right from the beginning that this is a boss that drops bad. Once I played this boss and saw the drop rate I knew that he will hang on to that staff for dear life. It is so much more of a chalange to try and get that staff this way and look at it like this, the fewer of these staff around the better the prices for all of us

nice build but i would recommend taking out a attack skill and adding balthazars spirit because u seems to have a long wait on the adrenaline to keep rechargin. Your takin so many 0's but not using them to your advantage, use balthazars, its also nice energy too.

I generally kill the stuff around him, even with his flesh golem pounding on me. It might take longer, but sometimes they drop some pretty nice stuff, and its only like 20 seconds for each other guy (as long as they're not rits). With the flesh golem out, I just wait until he uses the spell that drains the life and heals himself to kill the Golem, then disrupting chop when he tries to summon again. Vigorous works pretty well when I'm using flurry even when slowed.

We must also remember that this is a 70K+ weapon (if your selling), it isn't nor should it be easy to get. It should take a little work.
Tiger Stance helps build the adrenaline while its on and I don't recall ever being energy hungry. But whatever honks your hooter. Thats the nice thing about these builds, you can tweak to the way you like them or they way that fits your style. Heck, with Vigorous Spirit you don't need Doylak.

Nice build. I tried it first time and was able to take on him, 2 mesmers, 1 mage and a rit. Didnt even both with the others, just went straight to Ghail and did fine.
One thing i might add, when dealing with the mesmers, make sure to see how many there are. I had HH interupted which screwed me over and I died. Now i make sure i get interupted for each Mesmer there before i cast HH just to be safe

Hey there again to all
I have been playing around with the different builds on here to see what I like.
Stee what I like about your build is that it is rock sollid, gets the job done nicely.
Seeing that I have a axe and a sword wanted to see how the Evicirate one worked.
Used Sprint, Flurry, Evicirate, Executioners, Dolyak, Vigorous Spirit, Mending & Balthezars.
What I liked about this build is that you have 2 very hard hitting blows and one that also ends in a deep wound. Takes care of the rits very quick. I get a +38 on evic and Executioners. Had to put in Balthazars then i can continuesly spam flurry and that basically keep my adrenalin level always charged, and also they don't loose all adrenalin like final thrust.
What I don't like too much about Vigorous spirit is that it takes 1 sec to cast and can be interupted fairly easy, where HH takes 1/4 of a sec so its fast and not that easily interupted. On the other hand with energy always fully charged and Vigo recharging in 5 sec. and you can constantly try and recast it, they usually interupt once or twice before you get it through
I think a big thing to remember with these builds is that everyone has their own playing style and what makes this great is that you can play around untill you find one that works for you. The whole run doesn't take that long I timed it and am averaging around 12 min for the run. If I have to kill him 20 times before a drop at the end it is still worth it and there are always fairly good drops around in any case.
Stee you're the man, after reading your build there is one thing that really cought my eye "KNOW YOUR ENEMY"
I really strarted applying that to all my builds and if you know what the boss punches out you can counter it fairly easy.
Keep up the good work guys, only sad thing is that it is getting fairly hard to sell the staff now but that was not my aim in the first place. I got one for my necro so I am happy. If I want some fun I do this run, otherwise there is still a whole world out there also to keep you busy
Have fun all
