Hello,

I tried searching but apparently the search function is not that good, searched farming and nothing came up lolz,

Anyways I started GW about a month ago and I was just wondering if Ele Vaettir farming is good cash flow or is it a waste of time with all the nerfs? Don't want to spend the time and money on the skills/weapons/armor if it's not worth it.

I guildy said you only get 1-2 gold drops a run, sometimes none...?

1. Wrong forum.
2. Yes, vaettir are still farmable and drop lots of golds on hard mode (15-25 per hour), but nothing valuable, just unids for wisdom title and occassionally a perfect mod. If you want value, farm only during special drop events.

Agree with Yawgmoth , but I want to add: occasionally tactics blue shields 8/16_7/15 inscr. with acceptable skin (militia,tall,crude).

You can collect the glacial stones to sell to people wanting gauntlets or slavage them for dust stacks to sell to Conset makers. I think dust stacks are still selling for 4k a pop.

I farm vaetires on ele on an off thru the week and i use it for materials,golds mainly but with slight adjustment it can be used to farm ice imps/golems in prophs , fire imps in prophs , snowmen lair ( like ranger can solo first 2 waves easily ) so in a way theres quite a few extra places that can be farmed.
Btw if ppl say take a load of merch stones so you can sit there for hrs - my preference is to take only 2 merch stones and after i fill up an salv what i need i then refill etc untill i can hold no more then an only then i use a merch stone.When all stones are used and im full again i`ll head to outpost and sell.Then i will return and repeat .
Reason for this method is based on the theory that after a while drops tend to lessen if your farming the same zone constantly - the quick run from longeyes to jaga seems to act as a run reset and drops can tend to improve ( think it was mentioned long time ago on guru where someone said after a several runs of farming same zone find a diff zone to run/kill thru and drops shud improve ).Ive been doing this for ages and often it does seem to improve - you can tell drops start being bad as after a few consec runs of bad whites and no golds/stones you sort of know drops are gonna be bad.

Vaettirs do drop hammers (copper crushers?) which salvage to granite.

Stick a measure for measure inscription on there for best results.

But like said before, wait till holidays/special events to get the real value of the run.

they also drop ruby mauls, about 1 in 5 with measure for measure will salvage into a ruby

A few days ago I saw an article telling you have to farm this area and I've tried it successfully. My question is around tweaking this build for other areas, or if this already works someplace else. I'm sure many of you are already familiar but for convenience

* Mantra of Earth: Mesmer Skill
* Glyph of Swiftness
* Obsidian Flesh: Elite Skill
* Stoneflesh Aura
* Sliver Armor
* Teinai’s Crystals
* Crystal Wave
* Storm Djinn’s Haste

and these attributes

* 11 Inspiration Magic
* 6 Air Magic
* 12 Earth Magic (will be a blue 16 with armor, weapons, attributes, and runes equipped)
* 2 Energy Storage (will be blue 4 with armor and runes)

So you need to have enemies that do earth damage and lots of them. Any suggestions? Spritz said

His build could be totally different than this though, but I am interested in other farm build options for Eles. I'm really not interested in other primary classes at this point, i just can't invest in them.

Difference would be losing 1 dmg skill to add stone striker , what it does is convert all dmg to earth dmg - vaetires do earth dmg so its not needed there .Ive farmed fire imps,ice imps and ice golems in prophs easily.
Terratanks have many diff /x setups but all use Gos,obby,stoneflesh and usually stone striker as the base setup then it branches either to earth dmg or 2ndry prof for dmg.

Tbh that build id change the following
storm djins drop for echo - easier to chain echo and wave for extra dmg
inspiration drop to 6 - its only high for its duration and put the points into energy storage.
drop air to 3 - and use points on storage
And drop sliver - against vaetires its useless as they have uber high ar vs any ele type dmg , cw and tc work because they are ar ignoring.
variations tend to drop echo and sliver and add ether nightmare and cop , or wastrels demise and cop.

events like the canthan new year or you mean when there are special events in that zone? I've been away for a few years so I'm still trying to figure out the culture now. thanks all. Can't wait till lunch so I can tinker a bit
