A/R Elite farm Build Cant Get it workin Help Please
ok so heres the deal iv got this build but i cant seem to get it working for crap
every time i try i die with in the first min or less lol

Couple things....
1) the build in the vid was R/A, while you'll be able to stay alive then same the dmg surely won't stay the same do to loss in expertise.
2) check the dates of the links...that build was for farming topk lvl 1 for ectos, which has been nerfed to hinder bot farming....ie...foes on lvl 1 of topk no longer drop ectos. So, in turn there is no reason to farm there for them
3) we would need more information about your equipment and your exact build (attribute split etc...) to make valid suggestions

wouldn't this build work other places though such as dragon moss ect ect
here are some vids all are short that i was watching that helped me decide to do this
allso is a link that showed me this ranger farm in the first place i really wanna learn to farm all crazy like this with whirling def on a A/R
the equip i have is ssyns staf +10 energy +30 +30 Health full raident Insignia
shroud of distress, deadly paradox,shadowform, whirling defense,deaths charge,shadow sanctuary, Winnowing,Feigned Neutrality
11 shadow arts 11 expertise 3 wilderness survive 4 deadly arts
i understand topk dose not drop ecto on first floor i was just trying it there to see
if i could get the build working , i dont mind trying the build or builds in dif locations
i just cant seem to get this build working at all
i am allso assuming even though im not trying it that it is possible on A / R as well
from what iv read this build can drop massive groups of foes this would really help me out

Just look for A/R builds at first. Usually it's also good to find vids that are from the year 2011 because some core farming skills have changed quite recently (BuH for example). Some few places are easier to do with A/R than R/A for sure (physical dmg areas cuz of assassin insignias) but mostly the higher expertise means that you can keep whirling up longer and do more dmg + have more block.
Spirits like EoE (Edge of Extinction) and Winnowing are nice skills for A/R once you manage to survive thru the run first.
Check list:
1. +20% enchantment staff or 20% enchantment sword/axe/spear with a shield (for more defence use the shield+martial wep version)
2. Correct armor insignias (check what dmg do the foes do)
3. Renew your assassin enchantments on you whenever you can if your energy lets you (this way you get nice additional dmg reduction)

sorry but what do u mean by a martial wep version?
what about totem axe + a good shield???
any recommendation for a specific green or gold weapon + shield or staff ??? (example ssyns staff)
sorry im just trying to get every bit of info to learn these farms i can ty once again guys

I farm with both. Dragon Moss, Snowman, etc.
I don't worry about hp, but have sup vig. If SF drops for a second too long it doesn't matter.
I run blessed armor with 2 superior runes for 16 and 15. +5e 20% enchants weapon and shield vs damage type -2 enchant. I got the -2e shield cuz I was told to get it. I don't really understand how the -2 helps since it isn't physical damage, but I have the same shield in -2 stance and the enchanted one seems to take less damage. All that and that dwarven stance skill makes it easy to maintain SF. It's also used for WD to last longer since it does a lot less damage than rangers WD. Don't even need winnowing if done right, but always bring it for most farms. So get your deldrimor up to r6+. I got a lot my deld rank farming snowman during events.
On my Ranger, I have to be more careful, but can run whatever runes with high expertise and SArts. WD does a lot more damage so killing is easy and I have 1 or 2 skill slots I can mess around with depending on the farm.

A couple of things:
- Rangers have an inherent +30 health against elemental damage, which makes it easier for them to tank through the autoattacks of casters.
- Armor choice is VERY important for a A/R. You need to be running blessed for caster heavy areas, or sin insignas for physical areas.
-ALWAYS sit on shield/martial weapon as a sin, until you get the hang of the areas. The shield should have a health bonus while enchanted, and an armor bonus for a specific type of damage. In the celestial farm I believe you want a piercing shield. As for the spear, an enchanting mod is a must-have, but you can switch up the other mods.
- Make sure you maintain your enchantmens, otherwise you won't get the damage reduction from SF.
