ya, if u take EoE with minion masters + death nova, when one minion dies it starts a chain reaction and kills nearly everything...rinse repeat when new minions made...makes it far easier

this needs more love. i tried at least 10 times afk without fully equipping the heroes as knobby suggested: died in the first round 6 times and the second round the rest.
full runes/insignias - successful afk very next run. i didnt time it and i watched for most of the time but didnt interact at all other than moving around.

2x EoE + death nova and Icy Veins is a sure win on first wave..rest is afk
(set the 3 spirits on top after 1 min mark and run back and set up the 2 spirits and its afk the rest)

Already posted builds without mercs that still work flawless for me.
If your heros fail you either need better builds or better equipment (staffs are fine and overall as much HP as possible) but its not due to some kind of update that nerfed this farm (as far as im concerned, last tried it like 20 hours ago).

This build is disgustingly awesome, works like a charm, thanks a bunch. Best part is, it doesn't require merc heroes. Just be sure to remain near the dragon, otherwise occasionally the baby dragon will get aggroed and die.

Damn, Huiboo's Keystone Sig setup works. I've been watching the progress of this first go and it's clearing house like I couldn't before, even with shoddy equipment and few to no runes. I did run into a snafu at Wave 3 when I had my three mes heroes a little too far northeast so they couldn't get to the destroyers that circled around, but that was easily remedied by moving 1 & 3 back a little and moving myself back up to almost on the dragon.
Edit: And just finished my first go. 22 min including loot pickup time.
Awesome builds ladies and gents. Newbie-player approved.

Just tried Huiboo's method, no runes except on one hero:
1: Dragon died 4th wave, heroes not at all, total afk
2: Dragon died 3rd wave, heroes not at all, total afk
3: Funnily enough, my heroes died a sh*t ton, but this was the successful run. afk except in the third wave, I moved myself and the mesmers slightly back to get the guys circling around, 18-19 minutes!
Next tries: Loopysnoopy's placement of the mesmer's, and now everyone has full survivor insignias (not enough money for runes of vitae... YET); I also want to try to not move at all in the third wave, as that would be ideal.
Will keep you updated, easily the best build to work for me yet.

Has anyone tried these in HM yet? Once I can afford the runes/insigs, I'm going to see if the Keystone method will work. (That may be tonight, if people keep buying my Brotherhood Cloths. )

i noticed my er ele isnt even using ether renewal, he is just spamming infuse health.

Yes, i put all of them exept the SoS Rit on agressive (maybe that also helps with the baby dragon gettin killed @Leto Augustus).
I got Survivor Insignias on chest and legs and Major vigor for all heros.
The Discord Heros got Sup Death magic runes (just because i had them on there before), the KS heros got major fast casting and minor dom/illu runes and the SoS rit got sup channeling and minor resto.
The 3 necs got the grim shadow staffs with +60hp from DoA, the Rit got Oolas Staff, the dom mesmers got Illyana's Staff and the illu mes got something weird i wouldnt recomment^^

Works just as good as the build with 5 mesmers.

I can confirm that without proper runes and/or equipment, the Keystone method does not work in HM. I should be able to rune-/gear-up this weekend and try it a few times to see how it works.
Need more storage space.

Just throwing out another this works. I just have random wands/spears + shields on most of my heroes, however they are fully ruined out excluding the runes of vigor. Works perfectly, thanks.

I noticed that the third necromancer is speced to have 3 Blood without any Blood skills. I think it should be changed to Curses to power Enfeebling Blood (a curses skill).
