70 ectos per for duo?, thats complete rubbish even uw sc i see a maximum of 20 drop ever and usually its 10-15

My internet connection is very slow ATM and I'm the middle of final exams, but as soon as I can use a decent connection I'll take them back online. I'll put them on youtube and link to direct file downloads.

About Mindblades, I talked about it in earlier posts (in this thread). Now I personally haven't tried it (didn't log into GW for about 10 months) but if the necro brings Mantra of Resolve you should be able to do fine OR if you just pick a 600 build for the monk and hybrid SS/Smiter for the nec, as you would do in HM.

edit: BTW I might start playing the game once again this summer if I can get a few friends along, so I might update the thread with the new game changes and include a detailed HM section.

So, excuse the ignorance, but I've been reading this thread repeatedly over the past few days and haven't been able to find my answer.

I've been getting back into GW lately (after a 3 year hiatus). A few days ago I headed into UW with my 55mo, but couldn't kill anything. I literally spent about 20 minutes working on 3 aatxes and couldn't get them past ~1/4 hp. From reading this, if I go with a necro I'll be able to farm with more or less the same build I used a few years ago? I figure if I could get 75% of the way alone, I probably can get 100% with some help.

Yes, actually this guide is dedicated solely to two-men farming (Monk + Necro).

That is because it talks about the whole Underworld run, and not just the repetitive patterns you can do while farming. As I promised one post above yours, I'll soon reupload the videos so you can see how it's done : )

Cerb - tbh your guide tho dedicated to 55/ss its actually a great guide for 600/smite and others.It gives details that everyone who is new to uw can follow without being lost in just verbal text etc.
The guide helped me and a few guildies do uw as 600/smite ( its our Uw bible ) - same routes etc but slightly diff method in fighting but thats mainly all the difference is.

id just like to add along with others that this thread is amazing, first time successfully duoing all of uw just an hour or so ago in hard mode, we modded somethings and changed the order but the guide was a major help to fill in the for the areas that we didnt already feel comfortable with.

after a lot of failed attempts and failed builds me and the boy finally completed uw.
we "cheated" a little bit tho. used a hero for 4h, used 3 celerities(once we get the hang of it could prob only need 2), and used other random personal cons(not needed, just makes it slightly easier/faster)

4 hours and 14 minutes, around half an hour of breaks. a long freaking time but not that long considering what we were doing and more than half the quests we were duo'ing for the first time.

ended up getting about 10 ectos each (i got 9 i think he got 11) and around 20ish gold items each(we brought a mercantile summoning stone to round up all the extras at the end ;] ) and around 10k solid cash. probably not as profitable as some other faster runs but it was fun to do something different. =]

I've been 55/SSing based on this guide for the past few days. So far total I think my team has netted maybe 8 ectos in a good 6+ hours... obviously I'm missing the hotspots =(

Though, the build works like a charm. I do it a tad bit differently but 90% the same =)

Can Escort be done with perma replacing 55?
As perma i can do servants,uwg,clear the chamber. I can aggro minblades but i cant keep aggro and necro get hexed/interrupted. Tried a lot of times. The same problem. Is it possible kill 3 begemoth adjanced?

well the skeletons have been added now and i know it has affected my warrior solos and assassin solos do these new adds to UW affect the 55/SS duo team? if so has anyone found a build/small group that allows you to continue farming UW effectively. Thanks in advance for any responses.

The main thing I've found it affects is time. You need to pull carefully around the skeletons. If you're staying at 55 to kill skeletons, you must find a place where you can obstruct them and let the necro do his/her job after the skeleton is safely blocked. If you bring a set of armor with higher health, you can switch out a few pieces and spam PS/Breeze a little more to overcome the health loss. Bone Spike will deal 100 damage through PS, so after the Necro has cast, you can count the 5 seconds between bone spikes and dodge them - they move pretty quickly but it's possible. I haven't been down in UW enough since the skeletons came in to find an optimal max health for Invincimonks to be at while fighting skeletons - maybe somewhere around 130? That should leave you enough leeway to take a hit from Bone Spike and recover back to full before a second one hits?

With the impending nerf to 600/smite id say sadly this guide unless someone takes the trouble to rewrite can only be used as a rough guide to 80% of uw.
Skeleton spawn points and newer foe spawns needs to be added as well as how to deal with Dhumm.
Overall tho the guide does still offer insight into uw - altho i have no idea with the 600/smite nerf thats comming soon how 600/smite will be able to function.

It has been awhlie since anyone has posted on here. I'm wondering a couple of things as I just got back into guild wars after a break.

First, I'm wondering if it is still possible to farm Underworld?

Second, what are the builds people are using these days?

Yes it's possible to farm. Look up builds on Guru/PvX. Read the Farming Forum Rules/General Campfire Guidelines.
