So what's the deal with this "within earshot" stuff on the Warrior shouts, such as "Charge!", "Shield's Up!", and "Watch Yourself!"? From what I can tell, the shouts affect allies "in the area," so what was the deal with altering the wording?
Its a new, wider range definition which seems to be on most if not all the shouts. Its basicly larger than "in the area" but how big we dotn know exactly yet.
If it's larger, I'm skeptical as to the level of impact it'll have on the game. I tested this with one of my guildmates, and the furthest range I could affect him was identical in distance to the "in the area" combat dummy on the Isle of the Nameless.
this change in wording is probably due to the new upcoming paragon profession in the PvP BWE.... maybe their shouts will have longer out of earshot ranger.
