Default W/x Totem Farming

I couldn't believe how easy this run was...

Tactics = Healing sig for 130
Strength = Sprint for 12 secs
Rest in Sword

Sorry I don't have exact stats, i think I had a major rune on, anyways

1. Sever Artery
2. Gash
3. Final Thrust
4. Sprint
5. Healing Signet
6. "Victory is Mine!"
7. Riposte
8. Deadly Riposte

Having that Crimson Carapace shield and a +30hp one handed weapon help, but when you face the behemoths themselves switch to a +30 always shield if you have one as the behemoths have wild blow and you shouldn't be in sprint while attacking anyways.

Not the most efficient build, but it works as a pure warrior...

I'm not gonna go into details about running there, just look at the other threads explaining how to run there, this guide is mainly how to do it as a pure warrior.

When you approach a Root Behemoth, 2~3 lil buggers may come out and cast holy wrath on each other and give you 29 dmg everytime you swing your sword. Also, they have mend conditions to get rid of your deep wounds and bleeding. And they make annoying sounds.

As a warrior, these guys should be doing like 0 dmg to you if you have max armor and a major absorption, which is easily affordable by the time you get to droks. In fact, if you approach a lone behemoth, you shouldn't have trouble at all as a warrior. The behemoths do a maximum of like 30 dmg with elevation.

The only trouble you should have is killing them, or having a patrol screw you up. I found that in the falls, monsters REALLY don't like you and won't hesitate to traverse long distances to make sure you're out of their mating territory or whatnot, so you have a huge leeway should you encounter patrols.

In the region around the behemoths, the only patrols should be occasional scales and wind riders, scales are no problem, a -4 degen from disease and that's it. No insane reaction timed Cry of Frustrations, though they still do look kinda ugly.

The Wind Riders look a bit more pleasing to the eye, but a lot more annoying than the scales because they can interrupt your heal sig, your sever, your gash, and your final thrust. However, when you fight these guys you'll have to rely on bleeding as many riders as you can and get a gash in whenever you have the adren to do it, and hitting ViM to top off your energy/health.

ViM becomes crucial when you're trying to burn out the Aloes' energy pool without killing yourself from holy wrath or stopping to heal sig when you could be killing them. As previously stated, this run isn't hard, with some experience in running the first 2 zones become rather easy, and then it just all becomes a matter of knowing how the skills work and what seems like the best way to use them.

Notes:
Aloes - run up to them, pull them from other aloes if there's another behemoth near by, bash their face in. If there's 3 of them (max spawn of aloes per behemoth) continue bashing their face in while using heal sig/ViM as necesary. There's usually one aloe that sits there not doing anything until the other aloes have died, in which case it'll cast holy wrath on the Behemoth again, and then cast holy wrath on itself. Since he doesn't have another aloe using heal other on him, his face should be promptly bashed in.

Behemoths - Deadly Riposte, Sever, Riposte, Gash, ViM, Thrust, then continue smacking him and hitting buttons when they recharge. Total pushovers for such a nice axe.

Wind Riders - Keep hitting them until you can sever, then switch target until you can sever/gash, hit ViM to counter degen. While using this combo you'll most likely get CoF'd. If you find your health is dropped dangerously low, hit ViM/Sprint and book it. Come back later and make them cry.

Scales - If you've played a warrior up to the point where you capped ViM, these guys should be no problem.

That ele Wind Rider boss near the top of the falls - kill all his buddies first, then you can start using healing sig instead of relying on ViM since he only has maelstorm and frozen burst. Takes a while to take down, shouldn't cause you trouble. Gives you a free 2% morale.

Again, not the most efficient build, just something that works. I'll be glad to answer any questions to the best of my abilities. And sorry for the horribly jumbled guide, it made sense in my head when I wrote it...

Feel free to add suggestions to the build

Dobermann:
You can easily do this run without ViM or Evisc. A standard W/Mo farming build works fine, I've done it with a W/N with plague touch. There are alot of variations for the Warriors that works well. One nice thing is that so many people have come up with different solutions to the same problem.

Wolydarg:
Nice build, I'll have to try it when I get home... I don't really need a fourth Totem Axe but wth. Maybe I'll get lucky and actually get a Forgotten Fan.

Running there could be a problem with this build - Care to post some infomation? With Debilitating, you're sure to have very low energy, combine that with not being able to use Heal Sig without energy (Primal Echoes), not being able to run (not enough for sprint), being Crippled and poisoned by the spiders, with no health regen? I can make it as W/Mo with Watchful Spirit to take the edge off poison, and the basic attacks do low-to-no damage, but without that, I wouldn't be able to make it.

Secondly, even as W/Mo, I can't find a way to bring down the mesmer Windrider boss. Empathy can be kept up constantly, and you can't heal the damage and deal out enough at the same time.

Default Running continually to Totems

Ok, what I do is have both Charge and Sprint. That way I can contiually run without having to stop. This greatly reduces the time spent getting to the Totems. Actually I dont stop running until the Scales. Just after all the Trolls. Anyway, to help counter Debilitating I bring along a Totem Axe in my spare weapon slot. That way if, no when, my energy drops to zero, I wait until I want to use sprint or charge and put it on. This gives me an instant 5 energy, which is enough for the skill. I then switch back.
Also, there is actually a space (a clearing as it were in the trees) between the last two groups of Redwoods. This clearing is actually out of range of their signet blocking skill Primal Echoes. You will know you are there because its also the location of the last lot of spiders. They drop right on top of you. But that doesnt really matter because you can heal with healing signet, then just run past the last lot of Redwoods.
So, I just run right to that spot, dodging the spiders as they drop. Heal at that spot then keep running. The only downer about this is that if you die later on, you have to fight your way through them all after you regen. To me this takes too long and I usually just start again, as my primary goal are the Totems.
As a last point I find that the Scales drop golds quite often. Eventhough they are not usually Max dam, I have gotten some perfect mods off them like +30 hp bow grip twice. These have obviously made this run even more profitable and enjoyable.
By the way this is my first post ever. So I hope its helpful.

like Kaitoa, I also use both Charge! and Sprint. The trick is to know where the drop-down spiders are. Hit Sprint right before you enter an ambush area, don't worry about poison and cripple, just keep running. Hide your energy with a -en weapon if you have one, otherwise swap to a staff or something for charge! once Sprint runs out. You should always be able to break free.

as for windriders, it's a bad idea to run regen against them, since they all have Shatter Enchantment. Bring Remove Hex if you're having problems with Empathy, and keep on hitting healsig.

btw, I personally use an axe build for this run, but that shouldn't really matter.
