Main Reason you can't find any is this, the decent axe skills that are good for pve farming are basicly cyclone axe and triple chop, these 2 skills work best when there is plenty of foes around you to use them on, but in hydra situation, there isnt many, because mainly your gonna die if you take on too many hydras to make cyclone or triple viable, also sword has riposte and deadly riposte, in which you can do damage also they have access to gladiator's defense, axe users will only be allowed access to gladiator's defense, with not riposte-like skills which are the basis of almost a majority of farming builds, such as worms, hydras, griffons even, minotaurs, so really i would consider a change in weapon unless someone else posts after me with a useful hydra farming build that is as suffice in the hydra killing as a riposte sword war is but involves axe, . . .

Watch yourself, healing breeze, disrupting chop, executioners strike, cleave (or eviscerate), dolyak signet, healing signet, mending

I can take on max 4 hydras at a time, maybe 5 if I time everything perfectly. you want to keep watch yourself and dolyak signet on at all time pretty much. disrupt meteor or fireball.

healing: 8
strength: 11
axe: 13
tactics: 9

hi,

This isn't my build, I can't remember who posted it but this works great, you can have up to 7-8 hydras on you(if u can find that many to aggro)

dolyak sig
cyclone axe
watch yourself
shield of judgement (e)
mending(ha)
balthazars spirit
healing breeze
vigorous spirit

Healing Prayers-8
strength-12
axe-12-16
smite prayers-8+

The smite prayers and axe attributes are basically personal preference, I usually go with 16 axe, but that's just me.

W/Me

1) Healing signet
2) Attackskill one
3) Attackskill two
4) Attackskill three
5) Attackskill four
6) Watch Yourself
7) Dolyak's Signet
8) Elemental Attunement

The attackskills doesn't really matter much. Anything that deals nice damage is good.

For the attributes:
It's usefull, but not required to have Dolyak's up the whole time. So high strength would be nice.
The Axe Mastery, Tactics doesn't really matter much, whatever you prefer to be a nice balance.
The spare points should go in Inspiration Magic.

I believe this was also the mainbuild that was posted in the compilation of farmbuilds topics. Except for swapping the Sword for an Axe now.

It CAN be done with an Axe, but why would you want to? There are some places where swords are simply better, and there are other places I wouldn't take a sword if you paid me.

Here's the build I use (I think its the same as one posted here)

Desperation Blow (Gash)
Deadly Reposite
Reposite
"Victory Is Mine!"
Epidemic
Dolyak Signet
"Watch Yourself!"
Elemental Resistance

15 Strength
12 Tatctics
5 Illusion
whatever is left in sword

This build works great. Just keep spamming your reposites, then target a hydra that is bleeding and use either gash or desperation blow to inflice two conditions on it, then use Epidemic to transfer those conditions to all the Hydras adjecent to it, then use ViM to be healed for over 100 and gain 10 energy for EACH hydra. I could easily take on 10 with this build, although It'd take some concentration because I'd be dipping fairly low at times...
