I use this for PvE axe. Works great imo

Triple Chop (elite. get it outside kaineng center, sort of)
Dismember
Penetrating Blow
Executioner's Strike
Distracting Blow (could be disrupting chop I guess but I love aoe quick interrupt so)
Watch Yourself
Balanced Stance
(resurrection skill of choice)

Or for PvP (I am very original)

Sprint
Frenzy
Shock (if you go w/e. if not... use some other build)
Eviscerate (elite. you haven't gotten to it yet but believe me you want this skill)
Executioner's Strike
Bull's Strike (or Healing signet, in RA)
Distracting Blow
Resurrection Signet

Both builds use the same attributes:

12 + 1 + 3 axe
8 + 1 strength
rest in tactics

For the PvE build, f you use a tactics shield you can skip strength and put 12 + 1 in tactics.

Well, everyone started to hate axes after Anet nerfed them. So they all went to swords and hammers and some remained Axe Warriors

They "nerfed" axes by making Eviscerate slightly less overp... No, wait, it's still overpowered.

To balance that out, they lowered the cost for Dismember, and added skills like Decapitate (hits for like 200+) and Critical Chop. So I don't know if axes have been nerfed... Even though I like swords better.

Eviscerate is better than ever thanks to critical chop

qvtkc's builds are good btw, try them out.

I saw crit chop and was wondering about that
you say it works well with Eviscerate?
btw, axe/warrior/pve/ rocks
Fast kills with a bit of balancing is great for excitement.

gogo

p.s. qvtkc's builds...what is that?

No such thing as a good axe build, because swords are superior to axes.

No offense, but swords are inferior to axes due to their lack of AoE damage (fck Hundred Blades, weakest skill i've ever seen for an elite, and most people dont even use it for damage.)

Axes can chain conditions on one foe, causing deep wound, weakness, and crippling in only three attacks. Additionally, their DPS in PvE is superior to swords. (Cyclone axe + Triple Chop ftw)

The good thing about Swords in PvE is that they have Dragon Slash.

Yeah.

just so you know, no weapons are superior to others....daggers, swords, scythes, spears, hammers, axes and bows all have the same potential. (excluding caster weapons of course)

i dont feel like listing the whole build, but for a good spike use 15 or 16 axe mastery with penetrating chop+executioners strike+decapitate. use it in that order when you have full adreniline. a very good spike+deep wound so healing isnt as effective. cleave is also a great skill.

If you're still using Cyclone Axe you can't be very far in the game. Try Cyclone Axe on a lvl28 Torment creature and tell me how much damage it does.

Axe is superior in cases where you're surrounded by enemies, because Triple Chop is capable of putting out obscene damage. Against smaller groups, it's actually a rather mediocre skill due to its 10s recharge. Dragon Slash or Enraged Smash easily outdamage it in that case.

yeah, everyone takes a warrior for aoe damage.

And swords can do hamstring+sever artery+gash. GG. Not that I'd run hamstring ever.

When it comes to swords, I run dragon slash, and I destroy things. When I run axe in pve, I run cleave, and I feel like nub-trash, but the damage is ok, so I don't mind as much.

[card]Cleave[/card]

I should probably uninstall.

I'm using Uninstallation Signet on Thom Bangalter!

It really depends. Are you killing a lot of people grouped together? Are you playing with other people? Etc, etc.

What Executioner's Strike is now, with Deep Wound, and 7 adren (although that was changed to 8 later on).
