Here's a full build (I really should set up a notepad for this):
Sever
Gash
Sun+Moon
Dragon Slash
Frenzy/flurry (I secretly love flurry in pve, simply for building adrenaline, and because it's hard to find a monk that will put prot spirit on me when I'm taking damage)
Rush/Sprint
Mending touch (mostly there for lack of good monks, as well as anyone running draw conditions--you have to get blind off somehow)
Rez of some sort.

Seconded on Dragon Slash as the best sword elite.
Also, don't bring Dolyak Signet unless you're soloing. Tanking skills really aren't necessary outside of soloing and some very specific areas.

I'd say run W/Mo with this build. 12 +1(3) +1 in Swordsmanship, 11 +1 in Strength, leftovers in Protection.

Yea, without runes and hat it's normally 12/9/9. I see where he's getting at though, use whichever stat is linked to your shield and optional techniques listed.

I'm into Auspicious Parry in my sword builds. I always get attacked by someone,and the block gives me an adrenaline boost. Also,it will make me an adrenal tank with any weapon of choice.
It also plays out as a cover stance if you are using Frenzy. This is the adrenaline battery when close quarters with any melee fighters.
[skill=big]Auspicious Parry[/skill]
Don't need to be a tactic beast to use this stance,and your adrenaline builds with every skill used or blocked. It's a passive/aggressive way of doing battle with a sword/axe/hammer.
