I've been using a LV/Mend build since I started farming trolls..so hopefully I can get used to this..of course, I go for the smaller groups also. Might as well kill em all since you're there, and if you spend a little more time to kill Krogg you can get:
- 2-3 MTTs
- Scrolls
- multiple item drops

Although I'll try it your way.

Right so Ive read your build, I probably use a way to defensive one myself, but I still think you can improve your build by doing one of these:
A. Add judges insight in your build, drop shield stance as killing other trolls will only take a few more seconds. Judges insight will avoid the +20 vs physical trolls got, and will also deal another 20% penetration. That means you hit atleast 1,5x more dmg.
B. With the vig spirit buff, you wont need a vamp axe. So get an elemental one to avoid +20 vs physical.

Also, you probably know 20% troll slaying is better then +7 vs physical, but I guess you left it out because its harder to get your hands on..

If you've got Judge's Insight up, you'd be dealing holy damage so you could stay with the Vamp Haft.

Trollslaying would take the place of shelter wouldn't it? Because weapons are "of XXXXslaying" and the shelter is "of shelter".

Also, I think you'd want a 15% while enchanted, since enchants will ALWAYS be up.

I've always killed trolls with Shield of Judgment, but I've never used a vamp haft, only a cold one. Gonna try swapping out Vig Spirit for Judge's Insight with a vamp haft when I get a chance and go with

Axe: 13
Smite: 12
Heal: 7
Strength: 7
Tactics: 4

Vampiric Axe of Trollslaying (+15% while enchanted)
Strength-Enchant Shield with low req
Heal/Smite offhand

Live Vicariously
Balthazar's Spirit
Strength of Honor
Judge's Insight
Cyclone Axe
Bonetti's Defense
Shield of Judgment E

Should work, but starting may be a little tricky due to having to take damage to get up energy and interrupts have to be avoided.

Gotta round vamp axe haft and troll slaying mod. Grrr, pain in the . .

out of curiousty, how many runs of something triggers the script? and when it is triggered does it other areas you try to farm?

I'm not sure if I missing something painfully obvious to everyone but me, which would explain why no one else has mentioned it, but couldn't you just drop Executioner's Strike for Renewing Smash and have a hammer on switch?

Wouldn't that allow you to use Gladiator's Defence 3 times at the beginning? You should be able to stay in the stance 1/2 of the time instead of 1/3 of the time afterwards, too.

Ps. People farm Trolls for the exp, not the drops. ^_^

I takes a good hour or so for the drops to slack off. Maybe 30 runs?

Also, other areas are not affected.

i tried, bud with a few other skills,
as elite, i took triple chop[F], Has same affect as ciclone axe
bud more damage ^.^
and with dragonchest axe 15^50 vampirick 3/1 and exhalted aegis.

Thanks for this build!

Compared to your build, mines was just god awful. This is what I was using before:
Tactics: 16
Healing: 8
rest in Strength and Swords.

Gladiator's Defense {E}
Bonneti's Defense
Healing Signet (when necessary)
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Watch Yourself
Mending
Sprint

This build revolved around the dmg provided by Glad's Defense and the Ripostes. But as you might have guessed, LARGE downtime. Basically I cycled thru Bonneti's twice inbetween Glad's recharge time.

But this build is so much faster, I tried it with success. Mines worked, but this one's so much better. Thanks

You'll know when you triggered it when an ingame hint box pops up, saying farming in the same area will reduce loot. And it really does reduce (it's happened to me before). What happens after that? You get very little drops if any. Sometimes you get nothing at all from enemies. Just do something else (run people, do a quest or mission) and it'll be fine when you come back. Remember, if enemies are barely dropping anything (2 or 3 items out of a grp of 10, etc.), the anti-farm script's still active.

it is handy when u have strength of honor with them too, maybe + 3 - 5 damage can increase ur damage a lot

I've been doing very efficient (Average 3-5 min) and easy troll farming with this build.

Is this build faster or slower than the continuous gladiators defense build? (I'd guess slower, but I have not tested it out)

The build I'm talking about relies on 4 core skills, the rest is just filler really:
Gladiator's Defense {E}
Cyclone Axe (for adrenaline)
Teinai's Wind/Whirlwind (for knockdown)
"On Your Knees!" (to recharge Gladiator's)

Might also work well if you put some points into air and added Conjure Lightning..

Anyway the longest it should take to kill a group of trolls is 3 rounds of Gladiator's Defense (33 sec) this way, at 16 tactics you deal 37 damage with GD and 33 seconds = 22 hits assuming they are using axes. 37x22=814, which is more than enough to kill a troll.

Anyway, unless the OP's build kills the whole group of trolls before gladiator's recharges, then this build would be faster (at least in theory)
