I managed to get there fine with the w/mo build not long ago, and a few in my guild are complaining about the terrible drop rates of the imps (meaning they got there), theres always the solution of killing everything that gets in your way

Or there is always the option of looking at this thread's post date before you say that the guy who started it can't outrun a few avarcia. This was FIVE months ago, The Guiles would follow you forever then. (Would have followed you to camp rankor from beacons perch if they could have gone through portals). Latest posts are useless...

The solo ids run is hard. Ive gotten to the imp cave several times without hitch. Ive killed some imps without a hitch. I got one ids. Then i gave up. It got too hard, and you had to try MANY times to get a good or even doable spawn.

craaaaaaaap.. iam not the richest person, so i though ud make a farming build to get some money, i made the warrior ids solo build, wasted all my money, on new armor, new axe, and shield, and now it dosent work any more...........................

What build are you using? The Build I use works awesome and allows me to kill Arcavia Brave & Fierce, Giants, Trolls, Ice Golems and of course the Ice Imps.

I use the sor build on wiki. even though it has a 1/4 second cast, it can still get interrupted. Plus, if you get a spawn where the avica are in front of the imps, you better just /resign, because the stupid birds will rape you with enchant removal, while the imps freeze you in place. I also tried it with the r/me build, but if any ice golems or trolls show up, you're dead meat.

i have done about 10-20 runs in the last 2 weeks to the ids cave and not had one drop, i have also been doing missions and other areas of the game during this time, i solothem using the A/E Sliver armour and shadow form, i can get there easy and that, they just dont seem to drop, this has also been a problem for someone else in my guild

Im gonna side with you on this one, ive done... around 50 runs and gotten around 20 IDS, all since this "nerf", all it takes is patience.

And as for you B E A S T, I only count runs where you actually make it to the cave, you expect to get an IDS in ONE RUN!? and if the avicari are too close.. well.. atleast you've only wasted 15 minutes in the run right?
but also that build you were using is pretty useless, should try and find a new one for suvivability.

and if only IDS were worth 100k... I'd have my FoW armor by now

This farm is questionable now. With the loot scaling changes, loot scaling doesnt affect ids's because they're blue. But also because of bad spawns and such, you probably need henchies to clear out the avica. So with hench flagged away, you could technically get the ids's. Ill test it out today.

Why you guys solo

Take a full group of heroes-hench, clear the path towards the ice cave and flagg your heroes-hench away (till grey -doh)
No you can solo the cave...

no problem only the drop rate is bad because of all those bots

I think chances of getting it with heroes/hench are very low now. i tried lot of times using heroes/hench for the past 2 days in normal mode. Once i reach outside of the ice cave, i flag my heroes/henchies outside once they are not highlighted, i went in to solo the ice imps unfortunately still no IDS drop or maybe i am unlucky but on the way there i was able to get one gold/purple item per run.

Question, since IDS is a blue item, it does affect in the loot scaling when you have a full team of heroes /henchies as they do collect your drops.
As mentioned on the recent updates, items exempted from loot scaling are;
Skill Tomes
Scrolls
Dye
Rare materials
All rare (gold colored) items
All unique (green) items
Special event items

Looking at this, IDS's price might go up as it is so hard to get it to drop now unless you solo it w/o heroes/henchies. BTW anyone got any luck on IDS drops with heroes/hench in their group after updates?
