No. Don't even use Mending then.
OP - never use Healing Prayers. Ever.
On a build...
Elite Attack Skill
Attack Skill
Attack Skill
Attack Skill/Utility
Utility/Self-Heal
Flail
Speed Buff Stance
Res
With max weapon mastery, the rest split into Tactics/Strength/whatever secondary you're using.

The only monk skills a (real) warrior build should have are mending touch, rebirth (for pve) and maybe succor if you're into that. other than that, the basic build template alex gave is great.

Correction - It was nice. Back in prophecies, something like 2 years ago.
And yes, Alex gave a really nice template - Get an elite skill, 2 skills that help using it/have a synergy with it (like, dont run a Dragon Sword + Sever Artery + Gash builds - they ain't that good). Flail is almost a must. And get some Sunspear/Kurzick/Luxon skills, combo Whirling Attack + Cyclone Axe + Save Yourselves! is ftw.
And rebirth as a warrior isn't good - You should get a more powerful rez, like Res Signet or Sunspear Rebirth Signet (with high sunspear title... with r3+ ;d), as they heal for more, get energy and cast faster. Besides, warrior is usually in first line, I mean, using Rebirth while in a middle of fight - Bad, and after battles, people with 3 or 4 ene regen are better to use it.

W/Mo and damage dealer should NEVER be used in the same sentence. Sword has the best DPS with no elites, considering its minimum of 15 dmg versus 6 for an axe, plus its higher speed. That being said, it doesn't really shine till you get the good elites(Dragon slash[Fact.], Crippling slash[NF]). Even ghetto Hundred blades is an improvement.
Stick to Alex's template, even with no elites. It works best no matter what skills you have. For Greater Justice and Flail are good for getting that adrenaline in the beginning. Watch out for too many high-energy/high adrenaline attack skills. For attack I might use one energy skill at the most, in case of a-denial(damn Iboga mesmers). Axes give the best balance of spike damage and conditions from deep wound, while hammers are best for KD/interrupt. With any decent monk back-up, or even with henchies, the warrior line of self-heal should be good enough if you are doing enough damage.
And please...PLEASE...never say paladin on here. We have armies of flaming blowtorches waiting for you if you do.

Sword has one of the highest DPS in the game because of the beautiful [skill]Dragon Slash[/skill], especially after the FGJ puff.

Wrong qualifier. W/Mo can easily deal damage. What you're thinking is the emphasis on "Monk healing while Warrior primary" mentality. Heck, I'm a W/Mo more often than not, and the only Monk skills I use are Mending Touch and Holy Veil (if ever), and can still do good damage.

No, Hammers have higher DPS, and axes and swords have the exact same attack speed. The difference lies in how you like to play, and the fact that axes and swords can use shields.

Also, factoring in criticals, Axes start to have higher DPS than swords at higher attribute levels.
What makes swords very good at DPS is [skill]dragon slash[/skill]
And W/Mo are perfectly fine damage dealers. It's hard to kill stuff whilst Blind

Warriors are tanks.
Just like in real life, a tank without a gun and tons of armor is friggin' worthless.
Go kill stuff.

A few tips. Don't limit yourself to just one type of build. Experiment with other secondaries. Try all the weapons for warrior and then use the one your most comfortable with. No one warrior build is perfect, it doesn't work that way. Use the template Stormlord gave and experiment. You can also get some good ideas from the guildwiki build thread. Last but not least, have fun your not getting paid whether you live or die.
