Unless someone in the party already has one; in that case Res sig/SS rebirth.

I use Death Pact or Signet of Return on myself and my Warrior Heroes. This way at least if there is heavy e-denial around, like those stinkin' Roaring Ethers, a Warrior can still res without having to wait for his energy to recharge.

I've stopped taking a Res myself though, because I find I just never use it. Warrior isn't my favourite class so I don't take her into Hard Mode, or do anything particularly dangerous. If someone does manage to get themselves killed, *glares at Mhenlo*, the other heroes invariably beat me with the ressing anyway.

for pvp i go with sig, but if i need a hard rez for whatever reason its fomf or sig of return =D

I usually don't take resses, I H/H everything and I hardly get a death at my side. If one occures, I'm too late to cast my own with the godly reflexes of the henchies anyway ..

I don't carry a rez on my warrior at all. I make a point of dying rather than being the last survivor and have to be embarrasingly asked if I have a rez. 15 DP isn't much , I have a stash of candy canes if it does become an issue anyway (that I will share out to a group if they are otherwise doing OK - did this during "Destruction Depths" when lots of the group where at 45 DP)
There are better things to put my skill bar than a rez as a warrior - an extra knockdown / interupt
However my Necro and ranger normally have a rez (to be used mid fight) and my monk may take rebirth (as she is normally way at the back of a fight and will normally escape from a bad situation) - My monk would NEVER rez mid fight

In PvE: brawling (as in, fighting alongside everyone else), I'd use res chant or res sig.
When tanking I take none. If anything dies then it's me, the tank. When I'm dead then I can't res. If something else dies before me then the party needs readjusting or someone needs to learn how aggro works X.x

In PvP I bring whatever the team build dictates.

I have had luck with rebirth in pve. But it's not all that great. Though it is funny to see a wammo rebirth me right into combat. And then complain to me about at least he rezed me. Rebith should be used by rangers in my opinion cause they are in most cases the last ones standing in my group.

I rarely take a res in PvE nowadays, the few times I do I tend towards Death Pact Signet.

The very few occaisions where the 'drawback' comes into play, it's generally a wipe situation so all I really did was save myself 15% DP.
