Pets and Warriors
Lately I have been trying to make a warrior build that also has a pet but the energy from the pet attacks is too much for warriors. So does anyone have any suggestions? I already made a decent one for Hammer but I really want an Axe one.

if u really do want one, i suggest using the elite [skill]Ferocious Strike[/skill]
That is, if you just want to have fun with it and not to max the effectiveness of a warrior
Thats what I ran ages ago.

yes probably the best skill for a warrior with pet. Only thing i hate is that you lose all adrenaline and get your skills disabeled when your pet dies. So i sometimes used that pet healing attack or even [skill]heal as one[/skill]

If you need energy, get a zealous weapon. Don't do something dumb like use warrior's endurance.

Here a sword one, I'm sure you can just swap some attack skills around:
[skill]"Victory is Mine!"[/skill]
[skill]Sever Artery[/skill]
[skill]Gash[/skill]
[skill]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill] or [skill]Final Thrust[/skill]
[skill]Poisonous Bite[/skill]
[skill]Comfort Animal[/skill]
[skill]Charm Animal[/skill]
[skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] or [skill]Lion's Comfort[/skill] or [skill]Healing Signet[/skill]
"Victory is Mine!" provides a nice heal and some energy, you could replace Poisonous Bite with Predators Pounce for more heal for your pet.
Hope this helps.

But seriously, if you're going to use a pet I'd go with ferocious strike and a standard sword/axe build.

I'd recommend a pet rez if you are going PvE.
i have a hearty pet by the way (cause im too lazy to train a dire one)
the difference in dmg doesnt apply on attack skills afaik. So i guess that wont hurt my damage too much.

does IWAY work with a pet still now that they don't leave corpses? or does that not apply?

I would sugest, if you have access to GWEN, using Great Dwarf Weapon on the pet, it is 10e, but well worth it given its extra dmg and the bonus knockdowns it generates.
As for a build, you can make an effective Dragon Slash build with just 4 skills.
I have run a number of war/ranger pet builds and the best skill they ever had for this was nerfed due to it being overpowered. Feral Aggression was originally the ultimate skill for any beast master but now has been nerfed to almost worthlessness.

Pets leave corpses, they just aren't exploitable. So they still count as "dead."
