That depends on whether or not I'm using my heros or a PuG monk.
When running PuGs, especially with people you don't know, you can count on someone casting Healing Breeze on you for no reason, or some Vital Blessing nonsense when it is completely unneeded. Or for the real win, Vigorous Spirit.
I've used Brutal Weapon with great effectiveness on a Ranger and Warrior because it can make a big difference in certain areas even with a minimal attribute investment. But unless I'm using my OWN heros, I find that it gets cancelled frequently because newbie monks are enchant heavy, and lots of people think Healing Breeze is usefull on heros. Why, I have no idea.
Brutal Weapon is a real waste in PuG groups. I've run it enough times to know to switch my template anytime I Healz You joins the party, or anybody with a similar name. Statistically Brutal Weapon has a higher payoff than Splinter for lots of builds. But in reality, the likelihood of you not being enchant cancelled in the middle of a big fight is slim in any random group. And the last thing you want is six or eight attribute points invested in a skill that is doing absolutely nothing.
However, if you actually have a communing ritualist (some of us do, you know), feel free to put Brutal on the Bar. If you have at least 2 warriors or rangers (wammo doesn't count) then there is a good chance that at least one of them won't be enchanted a good portion of the time. And if they are all enchanted, it probably means that your monk is so useless that you won't complete the mission anyway.

Actually Ive found that runing a pure healing monk(no enchants) and a Communing/Restoration Ritualist to heal and use Brutal Weapon and a Paragon for buffs then it does become very effective.
Stacking "I am the Strongest!" on it and you can be dealing 50dmg with regular attacks and very nice spikes.

Has anyone here ever tried W/A using Death Blossom?
Probably a little hard on the energy, but with Zealous Daggers + Flail, maybe it's viable?

Why not just do it with an assassin? Trading Critical Strikes for Strength is a bad idea. The only real "benefit" would be better armor, but assassins don't need that in the first place... and that certainly don't justify daggers over a sword or axe.

Well, I have an assassin, not great gear...but I think my main complaint about her is reliance on enchants for self-protection, extra damage, etc. (Crit Defenses + Agility).
I figure maybe the Warrior can take advantage of Strength skills and adrenaline, in addition to the extra armor, without necessarily needing enchants up...like Flail, Lion's Comfort, etc. Maybe not.

Try this if you ever get the time. It's a very sexy AoE warrior team build. Most fun I've had with a warrior in a long time.
Using a Splinter Weapon hero can be really beneficial if you're using AoE skills like Whirlwind Attack, Crude Swing and Cyclone Axe also.
