I wouldn't recommend an inexperienced player run Frenzy in PVE to be quite honest, that's silly.
Back in Prophecies people ran swords because they have a very good non-elite spike in Gash and Final, freeing up your elite slot for something like Charge (which I honestly wouldn't run in PVE)
People run sword now (or should now) because of Dragonslash which will out DPS about anything and provide tons of adrenaline for other skills on your bar.
As far as a Proph only sword bar goes in PVE I personally wouldn't run one and would go axe... But a good Proph only bar will extremely likely have Sever, Gash, Final on it, and an IAS (Frenzy, Flurry) - I'd highly consider looking at "For Great Justice", Distracting Blow, if you do choose to run Frenzy you will want Rush, Ressurection Signet is an obvious option - from monk secondary, Prophecies gives you Mend Ailment for self condition removal (which has nothing on Mending Touch) but it's a choice... I'd perhaps switch to Elementalist Secondary for Conjure Flame/Frost/Lightning.
For elite choice you've not got many great warrior ones to choose from at all. Hundred Blades is trash, Battle Rage = no IAS, Defy Pain is horrible... I mean I guess you really are left with "Charge"

I wouldn't either, but if the Op is convinced that he should have a IAS and thinks he can use it properly, let him.

People ran sword builds early on in Prophecies because, as you say, it has a very good non-elite spike, but only up until they can cap an elite attack skill, such as Cleave, to allow them to switch over to other weapons.

Quivering Blade can be a nice option also, it being a powerful low adrenaline attack skill. Sun and Moon Slash is usually in the bar as well.

The Op is already running an axe build.

Hundred Blades isn't complete trash. It is extremely useful in quickly charging adrenaline. Conjure skills can also be used to add damage to each hit. Charge would be an elite you use if you are running a sword build with Prophecies only skills, but the Op is already running an axe build. So therefore, he can use better elites. I recommend Cleave, but he has chosen to use Eviscerate.

What I am pointing out is that fact that he is not doing enough to help the rest of the team survive with those skills. It would better to have more from swordmastery than strength say sever, gash and seeking blade alteast this may help keep Alesia alive more as well as Orion. When he gets -60% dp he only has 8 energy left to use those skills if he doesn't wear radiants on.
