Warrior as a B/P - how to polish?
Alright, I'm trying to give myself a reason to get PKM on my Warrior (it's pretty much the only reason why I still play GW, I want that rainbow phoenix) but I want the phoenix to be actually usable...
I've already got a semi-decent AB build that I call the "Reverse Thumper" - it works quite well, to be honest... it's like a Heal as One thumper that deals more damage.
This is my B/P warrior as of now.
[skill]Barrage[/skill] [skill]Signet of Strength[/skill] [skill]"Dodge This!"[/skill] [skill]Flail[/skill] [skill]"Save Yourselves!"[/skill] [skill]Comfort Animal[/skill] [skill]Charm Animal[/skill] [skill]Sunspear Rebirth Signet[/skill]
I run at about 15 strength, 12 marksman, and the rest in beast mastery. Insignias are all radiant, and I use a Zealous +5e bow, putting me at 33 Energy.
Testing it in the Isle of the Nameless resulted in about 50 damage per Barrage, about 25-33 when I'm using plain attacks. The highest damage I ever saw from this build was 105.
My guild thinks it doesn't work because of energy issues, but to be honest, while I was testing with the Zealous bow my energy didn't drop below 25.
So, are there any gear/skill improvements to be made?
Edit: I'm really hoping that this build works, because if it doesn't I don't have a reason to get PKM... I'll probably just quit Guild Wars.

maybe For greater justice... and yes this idea is quite good, even though rangers can do it... better... SY is a nice addition with barrage

drop signet of strenght
but barrage is kinda bad on a warrior
if you really want to use a pet, ferocious strike + hammer is kinda good.

Yeah, I know that rangers are better at BPing (I've got a ranger myself)
But I'm trying to find reasons to get a Rainbow Phoenix - and pretty much ultimately, a reason to continue playing Guild Wars.
My skillbar is already a little bit cramped as it is, I'm not sure if bringing For Great Justice would be better (Adrenaline builds fast with barrage)

To be honest, it does. No one's giving me a chance to use it, though.

I know you quite well, and I know you well enough not to take what you say seriously.

Two people don't have to know each other, for one to know how the other acts. I know very well who you are.

The problem is, GW is boring now... there's no reason for me to play, I'm just trying to make the phoenix a goal to achieve. If I can't use the Rainbow Phoenix, I'm not going to go for the title, and I'll probably quit guild wars.

I can't decide what's best for you but the way it sounds perhaps a temporary break might help, I know I need them once in a while.

A temporary break wouldn't throw the desired weight.
I want a reason to play Guild Wars, I'm looking for one, but people won't allow me to put my idea into action.

Low damage, energy issues unless you're hitting at least four foes with Zealous and even then you'll lose alot from your shouts. If you really want to use a pet your best bet is to just bring your standard build and add the pet. Pets offer very little to the warrior class and if I use one (Because my Rainbow is so cool :-) ) it's just adding a tiny bit of DPS.

Actually, I was hitting 3 targets and my energy was pretty stable around 25-29.
I'm not sure if it's "low damage" because constant hits were roughly 50, and the highest hit I ever noticed was 105. I have never hit 105, with barrage on my ranger, vs a level 20 target that wasn't using frenzy.

Why are you so mean to the OP? You're not even a warrior. Go back to playing your puny little sin. If he wants to hide in his little world and think a bad build is good, then he can be bad forever. He might eventually realize that his energy will be total shit if he can't hit at least 3+ targets per barrage, and that any real warrior build (like triple chop) will do at least twice that damage. Or maybe he won't. But who cares? :P
