So, I have my imbagon. He's r8 kurz, r7 sunspear. That means 28% DR and 5 sec SY.

I played through Tahnnaki temple and while no one died, HP levels dropped low enough for me to be suspicious. This was on Normal Mode, which was why I got curious.

Now, I'm assuming that it's my fault. I'd just like to know what I'm doing wrong.

If you use EBS and/or watch yourself (WY on Earthshaker Jora) do either of them negate the SY! buff?

I recall that armor stacks were voided, and I think this might have something to do with it.

Do either EBS/WY! have anything to do with it, or is it TNTF's r7 level, or something else altogether?

At 5 seconds, SY is up the entire time, and I use a N/Rt orders to fuel it in addition to FGJ and FA.

Any help here?

Multiple Afflicted Soul Explosion maybe? It's armor ignoring damage that base between your level and it's level. So only TNTF lower that damage, SY does not.

While I haven't done any testing, the general concensus is that the higher +armor skill will take over the lower one if it's above +25AR, so WY shouldn't hurt the build any unless there is a bug. And EBS is what now?

Edit: Don't the necros there use Order of Apostasy instead of GB?

Ahh, that's what I thought too but Honor instead of Courage because I never use it lol. That's why I didn't think it was that because it only have +damage.

Anyho, seriously now - the problem might have come from large spikes of Afflicted Soul Explosion, which negates SY!'s armour bonus. Additionally, the necros like spamming some armour-ignoring crap spell that cuts straight through SY! as well.

Like Shaz said, the armor stacking only applies up to 25, after that the highest gets applied i.e. Save Yourselves!.

Tannakai Temple uses a ton of armor ignoring damage-that's why your health keeps dropping. In NM you're monks should be able to keep up, but for HM I'd suggest slapping one of your heroes with Incomming to help negate the worse of it.
