It gives you + armor until you're hit by x attacks.
Much like Glyph of Elemental Power raises your attributes by 2 until you cast your spells (meaning your wands hit more, skills do more without taking off counts of the glyph, etc...)

If this is tested and confirmed .. then why all the QQ about the nerf? Its still really good and it seems like the 'end condition' isn't that relevant. It's still gotta be the best non-elite non-pve-only damage reduction skill.

Even casters wand in PvE, the 3-hit counter disappears in seconds, escpecially in HM (luckily, the new 10 sec count sticks around a little while longer, though 100% upkeep isn't always possible, still)

[enfeebling blood]
[protective spirit]
[aegis]
[ward against melee]
There's actually a fair few skills better than WY!, warriors only used it in PvE because there wasn't anything else better immediately available to them.

It only ends after 3 attacks in PvP in PvE it lasts for 10 attacks, which I find to be very managable, I have started to use it again.

[Watch Yourself] was a pretty darn good skill in and of itself, compared to [Enfeebling Blood] it gave a little under 1/2 the damage reduction, but it worked vs spells, worked against all attacks (vs enfeebling blood which only works on enemies in the area), and was unstrippable. But with the cap on armor buffs and the fact that the rest of tactics is trash its not too great anymore, even with the PvE buff. Still, if for some reason you aren't using strength (which has tons of great skills) speccing into tactics for WY isn't a bad idea.

[Save Yourselves] so utterly outshines [Watch Yourself] that even before the nerf it was obsolete. As well as this, paragons used it better making it less useful for warriors.

I tested this yesterday ... despite the wording that Watch Yourself ends after 3 'attacks' it actually ends after three 'hits of damage'. Tested with Fire Storm ... I assume that any damage has a similar effect. That really blows it for me.

It makes sense to have it work that way. If the +armor reduces all armor affected damage types (including elemental), then all those damage types should count towards the 'attacks'.

If were gonna start taking PvE skills into effect then every build and skill thread in this forum should just end with the post "use [Ursan Blessing] or you are a noob".
As far as normal play goes PvE skills are usually counted out. SY is horribly grindy anyway.

I agree with meth, whenever I run [save yourselves] I always seem to be gaining adrenline just to use it, but thats just me. I prefer [wy] for general PvE play, nice passive defence for you and your party.

What's this sudden evolution of thinking towards SY? A month ago if you posted a PVE Warrior build without SY you would have been railed on by everyone. I'm guessing everyone is getting tired of D Slash Godmode. As far as UB goes, it was immediately considered a noob insta-bored skill.

Because abusing stupidly imbalanced PvE skills gets boring.
I've only put a PvE skill on my Ranger about 5 times throughout my entire time playing. Never again.
I would run Godmode D-Slasher again, but I prefer utility that means I have to put thought into it's use. Such as an interrupt.

It does, but playing in places that wherever you attack you lose energy or that every other monster does 500 damage gets boring too.

Reminder:
We're talking about [skill]watch yourself[/skill].
If you would slot this, and you have a PvE slot to spare, name me one good reason not to take [skill]save yourselves[/skill] instead of it.
The good skills get boring so we'll use their crap counterparts instead? What kind of unsensible, pseudo-elitist mindset is that?
