Obsi Tank question
OK, so I have been playing for a little over a year, my main is a war but I have never played as an obsi tank.... I have always played with attribute points specked into str and axe then whatever secondary may be required, sometimes none. Anyway, with the downfall of ursan I am thinking that an obsi tank may be useful for UW/FoW/DoA, I have the build/armour/weps all set, what I am looking for is kind of a how to play the role? Any help would be appreciated, don't want to just charge in and get yelled at, ridiculed and rage quit on, want to be useful part of the team. Thnx in advance.
Edit: I read what Wiki said about usage, suppose I mean more of how it would be expected to be played...

Generally speaking "tanking" is not the best option for a war in those zone.
That being said there are a few teams still asking for ObsidianTanks so you can if you wish.
To play in most zones its the same, it takes teamwork. You need move outside of your parties AGRO circle, then get close to the mob you wish to agro. You can use a bow or just walk in to agro. If they have interupts cast Obsidian before you agro, if not wait till the melee reach you. Move up to the casters and then lock them all down with something like [grasping earth]. Your party should unload on them then you just need to recharge and pick your next mob to wipe.
This method is slow but often safe for inexperianced teams.

I think for most of the harder areas, like slavers, obi tank is one of the best methods to kill groups. I have never gotten the hang of this build cuz all the guys on my aggro eventually break off. How do u hold them?

I've held aggro (not tanked) in Slaver's perfectly fine with a full H/H group and it doesn't take too much effort. There are alot of walls and stuff you can trap dwarves against. Makes is a lot easier.
Don't know about FoW though, it's a lot more open. Then again, running a proper damage build is more worthwhile.

The only time I've Terra-Tanked on my Warrior was in UW. I was the secondary Terra, relegated mostly to following my Alliance mate's lead and directions. Aggro can, and WILL, be broken, if you aren't backed up by experienced nukers.
Our team was my mate (E/Me Terra-Tank), me (W/E Terra-Tank), a Bonder Monk, a Healer Monk, and 4 Ele nukers. When the crap hits the fan, that's when you hope to the gods you have Grasping Earth ready along with the energy to cast it. It's one of the few things (aside from positioning, which Marty already explained) that is going to keep an aggro break from becoming a disaster.
That being said, Terra is meh. It works, but I would much rather be dropping DPS than taking it on the chin...
- EDIT -
Also, if the nukers backing you up don't stagger their nukes properly all the AoE DoT is going to scatter the mobs regardless.
