Help With My Warrior
Recently I've been wanting to play my warrior again because it has all my titles, but lately I've been thinking that maybe warriors are a second rate class. From what I hear an earth ele with obsi flesh can do the tanking role better than a warrior, and i feel that the warriors damage isnt up to par with say a dervish. But people tell me all the time a warriors job is to do "big damage". So i want to know why all those hardcore warrior players out there play the warrior, i've almost completely given up on mine.

A Warrior can't outdamage a Dervish, but with fast adrenaline charging with skills such as FGJ, Dragon Slash and the such the faster charged utility makes up for it.

I run the FGJ and SY on my dervish/sin and it works just as good if not better, due to a dervish hitting up to 3 enemies and the sins fast attack speed and high damage.

Haha, people love earth shaker? I don't really care so much about the "big damage" although that would be nice, it just seems like with everything else out warriors have gone to waste. It's harder for me to get into parties cause people are always asking for derv or ele tanks, and the sins for damage.

If there's any class able to endure the rigours of frontline fighting, combined with infinitely spammable damage, it's the Warrior. I'm a sucker for melees so I've been able to compare them all... no Derv or Sin can ever be as STRONG AND BRAVE

O' really? Have you forgotten about Critical Agility and Conviction? I'm also a sucker for melee classes. My favorite is the warrior, but only because that he's my oldest character (I know that it's a stupid reason, no need to tell me that).
Personally I don't put Conviction on my dervish but that's because I have great healing coming from my healers. Basically I have easier times playing with my assassin and dervish rather than my warrior. I put "SY!" on their builds, +33% IAS with daggers and it's easy to maintain it, the same goes for +33% IAS + hitting up to 3 foes with one strike (positioning is your friend). Of course that it's easier to maintain it with my warrior but it's not really needed. So my advice is, it's time to take your warrior for a spin. You obviously like(d ?) being a warrior (hence the titles gained), it might not be the greatest class for PvE but it's allot of fun. Remember, No one can KD as a Warrior! |

Critical Agility is an even more strippable Flail that makes Assassins have about 20 less armour than a Warrior, and Conviction is bad.
Plus you can also effectively play a Dervish as a Warrior with the new Warrior's Endurance... |

Warriors actually do less damage than Dervs/Sins, but they have more utility. They're still the kings of KD lock, and can keep "SY" up alot better than the other two.
Their damage is still really good, but just gets a little bad as armor level goes up. With the buff to Warrior's Endurance though, scythe wars are alot more viable now - they can easily outdamage Dslash spam in many situations. |

Isn't the idea of why people starting tanking to begin with why Warriors are great melee characters? They can take alot of damage for a good while and at the same time, spit out attacks at a high speed doing decent damage! They have an all around melee build. The reason so many people hate on warriors is because of their simple yet effective ability is to sit and do damage and alot of idiots get warriors and run around randomly hitting stuff and dieing. The Beautiful part of the warrior is he is not over powered in anyway. He is perfectly balanced with defense and attack.
