Newbie W/? pve axe?
Hi guys!
I'm newbie in gw. I've chosen warrior with axe. I didn't found any build for prophecies axe build. Mostly sword builds
So if someone can help me, write any good pve build for axe. I don't have elite skills yet, i'm 9lvl.. Plz write for novice character build and for high lvl character.
And which is best weapon for pve? I have read many threads, but didn't resolve what to chose...ehh
Maybe my choice was correct...
Also i would like to know what second profession should i chose? I've choose ranger, but i don't like that..
Thank you in advance!!!

If you're lvl 9, don't bother. You won't have any skills to work with so it's pointless. Lvl 20 builds are in the sticky (Read me). Also, it's not our job to build you a char from scratch; once you get somewhere in the game (like, out of pre-searing) and get to lvl 20, post a build and we'll improve it.

It's a general guide.
What's the point of writing a guide on just NF Wars, etc?

Just focus on leveling up and going through the game first, your build is insignificant at this point.

As savio said just work through the levels. Collect skills alon the way and cap any you come across. As for Marty he seems angry about something. and contrary to what some people imply, everyone starts at 1. so your build along the way is limited but hardly insignificant. Either way skills skills skills collect um.

I'm one of those guys who thinks [dismember][Cleave] is better than [eviscerate][executioner's strike] in lower-end PvE, especially with a Conjure on. Find yourself a half-decent Monk and a nice Fiery Axe, and start smashing face.

In lower-end PvE, you usually don't have access to a lot of skills, especially not elites.

I think Bobby2 meant non-Elite areas, Savio. I would have to agree with him on that point, as you'll actually get to use [Cleave] instead of almost getting to use [Eviscerate].

that explains why i hate pve.
any place where [eviscerate] isn't the best axe elite doesn't deserve to be called a "place" in the first place imo. it's just too damn smexy not to be on top.

axes = low adrenaline, not reliable high dmg
sword = high adrenaline, more consistent dmg 15-22. where axe is 6-28.
also the only way u can put deep wound with a sword is by giving bleeding first,
but honestly i couldnt tell u whats better, im thinkin axe is if u use it right, but in some situations against a high defensed monster, there sorta useless.
im running a sword build, but im not saiyng its better then axe, theyre probably even, its an opinion thing
just look at the pro and cons
as for second profession. elementalist if u wanna conjure, and if not, monks always been a common one

all things being equal each weapon class has its pros and cons. i was thinkin however that axe would be much better for adrenaline. axe has whirlwind cyclone which are great adrenaline building skills. im not sure swords have the skills to build adrenaline axe does. i dont think sword has the flexability of builds the axe does.

like said above, until your lvl 20 your skills shouldn't really matter.
but what ever weapon you choose is honestly up to you. Like I love hammer wars, [earth shaker] [backbreaker] [crushing blow] some of my more fav hammer skills. oh and [enraged smash] rawks.
remeber though your job as a warrior is simply to KILL KILL KILL
killing stuff is what you do best.
edit: good point savio, lvl 9 arnt near elites yet. ok, um idk i would recommend going sword then, good begining skills. but its up to you, find which ever one suits you better, and make a cool ass build to go along, if you need help with anything btw my ign is rain in kazakhstan pm me ill help you

The OP is level 9 in Prophecies. Elite skills aren't easy to come by in Old Ascalon.

Yes, Savio, I read the OP, and I understood that frc is only level 9. I wasn't saying that he would be able to get [[Cleave] or [[Eviscerate] anytime soon, I was referencing this:

frc did ask for a high level character build as well as a novice level build. I was only pointing out that Bobby2 probably meant any area in Prophecies outside of UW/FoW for using [[Dismember]/[[Cleave], since especially in the lower-end areas of the game (where you don't have ready access to Elites) that even if you COULD get [[Eviscerate] you would be better off using [[Cleave].
