i'll take one last shot before i leave:
there'e nothing wrong with you tanking. if you enjoy it, go ahead.
however, if you're hoping to post some builds and get approval - or anything but flames really - from other people it's not gonna happen. you also shouldn't expect people to let you into their groups with whatever build you want. the party leader is the dictator of a pug; if you don't want to follow his rules you can leave.

Thanks for the definition. How can I be trolling when it's my thread tho? I made the topic. Technically a lot of the other posters are trolling.

Again this thread has nothing to do with the builds posted. I am not looking for approval or denial on the builds. I was meaning to start a discussion of tanking and/or people using their own builds, which doesn't necessarily have to be a tank.

Both topics have come across loud and clear as if you aren't wiki specced you aren't a good build.

As for flaming the builds, I use the word flame very generalized. Maybe flame wasn't the right word, but it wasn't the point either. The point was that I said that the post is not about those specific builds.

This is true in it's own sense. There are very, very few good builds that aren't on Wiki, but at the same time there are quite alot of bad builds on Wiki too. It's all a matter of having a good understanding of what you're doing. (Heck, I see far too many on there where equipment sets aren't even done, so people end up running crap like 20% Martials over staves instead of staves themselves. Also people camping one Warrior weapon all the time. Meh.)

I still don't agree with the way of thinking, but I can see that it's how people have made the game. I guess it leaves a person three choices: Leave the game, play along, or hero/hench it. I was really hoping that the fact that you have to be a wiki player would've been disproved, but oh well.

Coming from a proud user of Bull's Strike on Monks, and a Blessed Light user, I think I am not a "use wiki or die" sort of person. I simply know what's efficient and what's not.

I like to piss around, but I know maximum efficiency is the way to go. There is no reason not to maximise efficiency, and when I get the window of oppertunity to play something silly or sub-par to current things with skills I like, I will do that.

At least I'm not completely alone then. The build that I currently use has [Warrior's Endurance] and uses a scythe, but isn't really anything that's posted on wiki. I actually came up with it before looking at wiki. I'm much more proud of a build that I make on my own rather than someone else's. I'm a fan of using wiki for a list of skills, picking a skill that I want to make a build around, and making it. Of course if it doesn't work after testing, I make a new one.

Optimum build right there.

Nothing wrong with Warrior's Endurance Scythe at all.

So you don't mind [dolyak signet], yet didn't pick [flail] over [tiger stance]

[grenth's fingers] doesn't belong on a Warrior bar. Get [crippling victory] if you must

[power attack] > [reap impurities]

[save yourselves] > [lion's comfort] + any life-gain attack you may yet consider

Where is the res in the Party one this is why Monks must take rebirth and supply you with plenty of protection and healing?

Bobby2, The idea behind Grenth's was to Pious it right away and cause cripple on everything around me. Grenth's also does more damage and I don't have Eye of the North. With 12 in Scythe, Reap only does about 10 less damage than Power. I don't see why it's that big of a deal. Save yourselves is a great skill, but I don't have it and would probably replace Tiger with it, rather than lose Lion's Comfort. Flail might be a better choice than Tiger, but it's also endgame nightfall. That means it's harder to get. Also, I don't really see the must have on an IAS, so it wasn't that big of a deal to me.

Age, I'm not sure what you are getting at with monks supplying me with plenty of protection and healing. With me not carrying a rez, others would be more important to keep alive. I've never been one to carry rez. I am supposed to be the one to take damage, not be the life giver. If a party is going to require me to carry rez, Tiger Stance is going.

It would be different once you got stacked hexes and conditions on you and if no res why should Monk protect and heal you?I wouldn't if being party with you.

Warriors do not have to carry resses, not when all the midliners have them.

While that is true, if you bringing a self-heal u might as well bring a rez instead.

Why should I have rez? I am supposed to be paying attention to aggro and stuff and now I have to rez too? If you aren't going to take me because I don't have rez, I'll be fine with H/H. Casters should have rez, not warriors, in my opinion.

I don't have "Save Yourselves" and don't PVP, so I likely will never have. This is the build that I plan to run with until I can replace Tiger Stance.

@OP I kinda feel sorry for you. Really I do. Best thing you can do is play with friends or guildies since you're most likely not gonna get any sympathy anywhere else. The builds you posted are bad but heck....you're having fun right?

Keep this in mind. Just because you find yourself being the "last one standing" doesn't mean you or your build is good. It just means you failed to play "as a team". Too many "selfish" skills on your bar.

WTF???? A War without an IAS is like a runner without an IMS... wtf? War = Damage... especially with your build there. btw, if you ever need a skill just buy a tome and unlock it with faction. go to the Zaishen Challenge and farm faction there if real PvP isn't your thing. getting Flail will make you a better warrior...
