Earth Shaker or Backbreaker?
I got an elite tome drop and I was wondering Earth Shaker or Backbreaker? Which one should I pick for PvE and why?

Earth Shaker for the ability to cause AoE knockdown which has both offensive and defensive purposes. Backbreaker's 4 second knockdown isn't very amazing at 10 adrenaline. If you want to knocklock, Brawling Headbutt and Dragon Slash under "For Great Justice!" is better.

So, should I go with dragon slash as an elite? But wouldn't be better to take out brawling and put in "Save Yourselves!"? Cause I've already done that.

I'd probably favour a DSlash SY warrior over a Hammer warrior unless you already had someone else spamming SY. Earthshaker is still an amazing asset in PvE though.
To clarify my post, the reason why I don't suggest backbreaker is that all it offers is an extra second long KD for a very high adrenaline cost. If you want to KD lock a single target, then powering out Brawling Headbutt's with Dragon Slash is better. If you want to AoE KD and potentially follow up with AoE hammer attacks, take Earth Shaker. Both elites are very effective in PvE.

BB can keep something down for 4 seconds. DSlash/Brawling Headbutt can keep something down for 30 seconds.
ES can keep everything down almost constantly.
That's all there is to it, basically. BB doesn't fit in with the PvE gameplay with the current state of DSlash.

Not hard to think of. Earthshaker, whirlwind attack, crude swing, flail, optional optional optional optional.
EDIT : I always thought calling a build "God Mode" pretty stupid anyway, as the build is not infallible, I'd prefer a para anyway.

I also prefer earthshaker since it is powerful for dealing with mobs as well as with a single target while backbreaker is a single target one. I can imagine that for some probably monk bosses in HM backbraker might be more successful in a spike - but I would still replace it with earthshaker.
On the side note: if you accidentally use backbraker on the foe which cannot be knocked down you just waste your adrenaline. However with earthshaker all other adjacent foes go down anyway even if you used it on the target which cannot be knocked (unless they are also resistant to KD). I just think earthshaker is more powerful, more universal and more idiot proof.

Earth Shaker. AoE knockdown is simply amazing. Although a DSlasher wins when it comes to single target knockdown.

THIS.
Earth Shaker, is nearly as good as Dragon Slash if not even. You can use Earth Shaker + Whirlwind Attack/Crude Swing to permanently introduce a large group of foes to the ground, and you can maintain SY almost as well. However, the effectiveness of this build is largely reliant on player skill (at balling and timing KDs) unlike DSlash where you can roll your head across the keyboard to kick ass.

HAMMERS ARE GUD . Backbreaker has for a long time been my favourite warrior skill, just plain cool. But earthshaker is better.

[earth shaker] > [backbreaker] in pve, only time [backbreaker] > [earth shaker] is 1v1 PVP due to the +dmg bonus.
