Need help with glacial griffon
It's a solo quest in the eotn, and difficulty is master. I was wondering if someone could help me with it, especially if you beaten him before with a warrior. I've tried for like 10 times, but nothing seems to be working on him. Thanks guys.

I think for my warrior I used some sword skills, probably the ripostes, and [Grenth's Balance]. May not be the optimal setup, but it works.

I think I did something like this (much like what was done above):
[grenth's balance][deadly riposte][riposte][shield bash][healing signet] and something else. basically spam ripostes, and when your health gets low GB the griffon for a huge loss of his health and a gain to you. then just spam ripostes again. I think I might have used [final thrust][gash][barbs] or something in the last slots, again I dont remember
or you could get a lot of energy and spirit spam him, that works too

this is how I beat it...
Let the griffon set spirits, then pull him away from them. Then use an interrupt to ALWAYS stop Shadowsong . And use the other to stop any of the other skills you see fit. If you don’t have all the skills, I’m sure you can figure out something that will work just fine. Use healing signet only during stance
Use the YMLAD and On your knees! combo to recharge your stance.
Deadly riposte
Riposte
Savage slash
You move like a dwarf!
On your knees!
Balthazar’s spirit
Healing Signet
Gladiator’s Defense [E]
This will kill the griffon in short order, just don’t hit the wrong skill
Have fun.

I used a flatbow and apply poison. Griffin doesn't heal so degen works great. I used the flatbow as it's range is further than spirit attacks.

longbow/flatbow + apply poison is the easiest way.

The constant KD and infamous warrior build Godmode should work just fine. Just replace Save Yourselves! With something more suitable to you. Rush in, get adrenaline quick, and KD that beast and again and again and again. That should work, at least considering the fact that it denies it any mobility what so ever.

I found an easy stress-free way to kill the griffin. You might die of boredom though.
I used a sword and brought the 4 interrupt skills I could find [savage slash, disarm, distracting swipe, and distracting blow if I recall] and sever artery combined with defy pain. I can't remember the other two slots, probably something like flail and a actual attack skill. You'll need a zealous weapon to keep up with energy. He only uses 4 spirits and no other attacks so he goes melee. His melee is significantly reduced by defy pain. Your interrupts recharge faster than his spirits and he basically bleeds to death as basic weapon attacks make for a slow victory.
Simple, conservative, and painfully slow compared to the mayhem warriors are used to dishing out. Just don't miss an interrupt or things get hairy real fast. At a 2-3 second cast time for a ritual, that shouldn't be a big deal. This tactic can probably be significantly improved, but hey, its what I used at the time.
Happy hunting.
