So, what do you think? What is a good weapon and shield for them?

[Cleave][Dismember][Executioner's Strike][Cyclone Axe][Frenzy][Rush][For Great Justice!][Resurrection Signet] PvE

[Eviscerate][Executioner's Strike][Disrupting Chop][Bull's Strike][Frenzy][Rush][Shock][Resurrection Signet] PvP

eviscerate is sub-optimal for pve and condi removal is better placed on your backline. i'm not sure how useful dchop will be in pve, although i suspect it won't be. oh yeah and there's the little problem of an 8-skill limit (you have 9 there) ((EDIT: nvm you changed it)) i'd suggest WE axe if you want YMLAD on your bar. maybe something like this:
[dismember][power attack][whirlwind attack]["you move like a dwarf!"][flail][dash][warrior's endurance][sunspear rebirth signet]
you don't really need dash but i like being able to cancel flail and zoom around. it would probably be better to replace it with enraging charge or something. power attack will get you more dps than body blow and executioner's because you can spam it every three seconds thanks to WE. WE also lets you spam YMLAD on recharge. dismember > eviscerate because you'll be able to use it before the mob is already exploded. also even in long fights being able to put DW on almost twice as many people will add up to more dmg than the +29 on evis, and you don't really need to spike in pve.
this is all assuming you really want to run axe in pve. DSlash/Erf Shakur are both more effective if you're going for lolpwn instead of lolaxes are fun.
PS: lol axes are fun. i run the build i posted when i pve.
also, the new build you posted for pve doesnt have a cancel for frenzy. this is very brave and i approve wholeheartedly.
and for the pvp one just run shock or conjure instead of mend ailment. basically anything that helps you do your job which is to kill things. condi removal is for your backline and condi reduction runes/shields.

theyre not the worst, the 1st build needs a cancel stance though. For pve [earthshaker] is the most optimal elite. but if you want to run an axe then go for it.

First build is garbage

If you only have Prophecies then a build with the new Hundred Blades will probably be better

Shock axe has also been around since the game was released so I would hardly call that "your" build

As for weapons and shields how hard is that to figure out? You want a weapon that does the most damage possible and a shield that gives you lots of armor, its simple

PvP
[build prof=warrior/any axe=12+1+1 strength=12+1][Eviscerate][Executioner's Strike][Disrupting Chop][Bull's Strike][Optional][Frenzy][Rush][Resurrection Signet][/build]
- [[[email protected]]: An extremely versatile and common variant, used for knocklocking (use it as a target gets up from [[Bull's Strike], making for a 6-second knockdown), anti-kite, disabling a target for a spike, interrupting long-casting skills, etc. The attribute spec on this is variable; some people like to spec 9 or 10 in order to utilize an energy offhand item.
- [[Conjure [email protected]], [[Conjure [email protected]], [[Conjure [email protected]]: Additional DPS. Lower strength to 8 and increase the element attribute to 10. Remember to bring the correct elemental axe and also the correct elemental staff to increase the duration of the enchantment (and to attack from a distance).
- [[Grasping [email protected]]: AoE snare that can be used both offensively and defensively. Spec of 10 is generally optimal.
- [[Power [email protected]]: Ranged spell interrupt, good for interrupting [[Aegis], [[Diversion], and the likes.

- Zealous/Vampiric (or Sundering)/Ebon (Elemental) Axe of Fortitude/Defense (with 15% damage over 50% health, -5 energy, and +5 energy mods all being useful)
- Furious Spear of Fortitude/Defense
- -2/+30 Strength Shield (While in Stance)
- Selection of shields with bonus AL against typed damage (fire, piercing, etc.), with a Fortitude modifier
- -20% Crippled Duration Strength Shield of Fortitude
- -20% Blind Duration Strength Shield of Fortitude
- Tanzit's Defender works interestingly

- Stonefist Insignia Absolutely necessary on either your hands or feet.
- Mostly Vitae suggested; some attune if you use Shock other than in conjunction with Bull's.
- Some use Sentinel's on Chest (not suggested but possible).
- Clarity/Restoration
- Radiant on your chest and legs if using Shock.

I'd find a slot for [[FGJ] in the first build. Unless you need the rez sig, drop it.

Don't do this. Only cancel if you're coming under serious attack. Only using your IAS when unloading skills is just throwing away DPS.

Also, you don't need to chain all your attacks, just spam them when they're ready. No point leaving fully charged adr skills just sit there (especially with Cleave, which will be ready every 2 hits) use them when ready, otherwise you're losing potential adr (and thus more damage).

Marty, did you link to the PvP version of FGJ on purpose? It was nerfed pretty hard in PvP.

The build I posted is pretty much basic template for axe. Most warriors nowadays have [[primal rage] in place of [[frenzy] and [[dismember] in place of [[eviscerate], but you don't have Factions.

I'd use Earthshaker warrior or Warrior's Endurance Axe guy.
