Expert? Opinions wanted
I am about to start my HM Vangaurd point farming outside Doomlore. So I'm using a lot of Adrenaline based skills. I use 4 maybe 5 slots for these skills.
Please throw out some opinions on how you might use them remembering I can only use 1 Elite and Armor of Earth is my main energy eater out of 20 energy points.
SINGLE ATTACKS
Executioner's Strike 8*
Penetrating Blow 5*
Penetrating Chop 5*
Keen Chop 3*
Cleave 4* (Elite)
GROUP ATTACKS
Cyclone Axe
Triple Chop (Elite)
2 other questions
1) For this area I have been using "Brawn over Brains" instead of "Strength & Honor". Good idea?
2) Typical Perfect Axe or Charrslayer Axe?
I'm sure most of this stuff is pretty trivial at this point, but I was curious what others thought.
I'll also use Healing Signet, Armor of Earth, Inferno/Earthquake, Resurrection (which I rarely use so I'm starting to think of dumping it.)

Please drop Armor of Earth, Inferno, Earthquake, Resurrection. Consider Dragon Slash SY Spammer. Build should be in PvX wiki.
Have something like this in your W arsenal:
1. IAS
2. Adrenal attack skills
3. One attack skill that does not run on adren
4. Deep Wound, KD
Not totally sure if its Doomlore, but there is a Char Ele (Flameshielder I think) that casts Aegis, which is a b*tch. Prepare for it.
For your heroes, I recommend Sabway. Current hype is discordway, but its not suited to Warriors. You could try to make it work.

This. All of those are pretty terrible skills to run on a warrior, due to its very limited energy pool and regen. Generally two or three 5e skills that aren't terribly spammable is all you want on a war, unless running something like [warrior's endurance|warrior's endurance]. I would drop healsig also personally and leave the healing up to your backline.
If you want my personal opinion, I would suggest running an Earth Shaker hammer bar. Works well against Charr in general, as you're able to kd aegis and meteor shower, the latter of which absolutely wrecks h/h.
If you wish to stick with an axe though, run either [cleave], [eviscerate] or [warrior's endurance] IMO. As Sasori suggested, you'll want an IAS - flail is probably the most common and efficient pve one. A source of deep wound is also very nice in taking out priority targets. Dismember is ideal for an axe warrior if you don't have an elite DW. A couple of adrenal attack skills for damage without killing your energy, [whirlwind attack|whirlwind attack] is nice for this. Cyclone axe isn't bad either, though it costs energy.
Consider some support skills also. ["Save yourselves"|"Save yourselves"] is the most broken skill in pve, even if you can't maintain it 100%. [grasping earth|grasping earth] is also a decent snare for both defensive and offensive purposes.

Revelations makes a good point about Grasping Earth as a superb snare.
I've used [Grasping [email protected]] in conjunction with [Earth [email protected]] before on a PvE Erf Shakur build to keep the mobs from running away at an inopportune moment. It will make you cry for joy, and your enemies weep in the realization of their impending destruction.
That would be with a 12+1+1 Strength / 12+1 Hammer / 3 Earth Magic split, you aren't sacrificing anything to get Grasping Earth to last almost as long as its recharge. You can't ask for a more perfect snare.

Just want to ditto this because every word of it is dead-on. I maxed out Vanguard points by repeatedly vanqing Dalada Uplands with a Dragon Slash SY Spammer and Sabway heroes. It's not even particularly hard (though Vanguard is probably the hardest of the four to max).

this is what i usually run on my warrior [triple [email protected]][cyclone [email protected]][[email protected]][body [email protected]][Dolyak [email protected]][[email protected]][Enraging [email protected]][resurrection signet]
you can swap [resurrection signet] for another skill if you like.
[whirlwind attack] can be put in wherever you deem fit.
its a good bar which never failed me. especially against jotuns they can't knock me down which is the fun part

[I am unstoppable!] >>>>>>>> [Dolyak Signet]
Why are you snaring yourself? (yeah, Flail does that too, but 75%>33%)

IAS from Flail out weigh the ill effects of the snare. And you could cancel stance with enranged charge. the 20sec recharge makes it less effective but its better than nothing at all.

well theres no need to rush in PvE. so i don't see how bad snaring is gonna affect you whether you live or die. besides the +40 armour can make you somewhat a tank which can save your life. i guess you could replace [dolyak signet] with [i am unstoppable] but i still like using dolyak more. allows me to use my energy on other skills. besides i said it was good against jotuns. which are also high HP monsters. usually by the time dolyak ends, they'd die as well so it doesn't matter.

1) Beating PVE means nothing about your build.
2) Good monks > armor buffs or 'somewhat tanking'.
3) Your armor level doesn't matter if you can't get to anything and hit them. If you're not producing tons of damage, you might as well be dead.

Quoted for Epic Truth.
SY! is an obvious fix. Might as well mention FGJ!, while we're at it.

Dolyak is very meh be comparison to I am Unstoppable... The xtra 16 armor and 5 less nrg is not worth the HUUUUGE movement loss... If a big Jotun gets past me an goes after my monk, I like to be able to run after him and woop his butt!!!
And yeah, if you doing HM Vanqs, then SY is a huge helper!

Denying yourself mobility as a Warrior is like self-Dazing yourself as a caster. It just doesn't work.

Grasping Earth is ftw.
Although it may be difficult to use on the Charr since they tend to have at least one PB mesmer. And their monks like to use Power Drain. I haven't played my warrior through EotN yet, but I do remember how annoying they can be for a caster.
I'd be very happy if OP tried this build and came back with results.

cataphract, I've never had a problem using [Grasping [email protected]] as a snare on an ES bar before. Not that the 3/4 cast can't (or won't) be interrupted, but I usually use it after I get the initial AoE KD from ES, before I WW or Crude Swing. If they are on their butts, they can't use an interrupt on me, now can they? :P
