Question about shields
What would be better on a Shield? a -1-2(stance)/+30hp or a -5(20%)/+30hp?

depends if you're a warrior or what.
imho -2 stance is better because chances are you're gunna be in a stance.

Between the two, you should get a -2 stance/enchant shield if you expect a near-constant of that buff. However, you're better off going with a +10AL vs. [damage type] inscription instead. You can negate tons more damage with one of those than the -x damage vs. physical. I know there was a thread on it a while back that basically said the -x vs. phys inscriptions were terribad, and +AL vs. a specific damage type would be better.

Do some simple math, and assume the mods work exactly as they say they do.
-2 damage in a stance, and you using a stance all the time means if you get hit 10 times you take 20 less damage.
-5 20% of the time over 10 hits will mean you take 10 less damage.
Stances are very easy to maintain, especially when you see skills like Flail, Frenzy, Rush, and Enraging Charge on most builds. And if you run a Conjure build or have a bonder, or some source of enchantments, -2/enchanted is better than -5/20%.

For general PvE, -2 while in a stance.
But for some farming -5(20%) would be better.

+10AL vs damage type are good, the only problem is the fact that you really need to keep a whole set of them to make full use of it. If you do not wish to go down that route, grab a -2stance/ench shield, they are the next best as long as you expect to meet the condition at least 50% of the time.

So looks like a
-2stance
-2enchanted combo shield would be best with both mods on it at same time.
Id like to know, ok -10armor vs physical if you getting physical damage how must is that -damage

-5/20 will last you until you get a -2 stance one. Plus if you have neither there are a ton of green shields that are -5/20.
Rota, there aren't any +10 AL vs physicals, you can only get 10 vs slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning.

10AL vs X shields tend to only be useful versus homogeneous and low-variety mobs. If you're facing a well-mixed mob, there's going to be enough damage of different sorts that -2 phys is going to stop more in total. Know your monsters and plan accordingly.
As of -5/20%, it's definitely inferior to -2 stance/ench. The only reason to ever use it is against well-mixed mobs when your build lacks both enchantments and stances.
