Best 2ndProf with E/Mo
Hey, me and a friend are gonna play gw together. He'll be E/mo, so I was thinking, what is the best 2nd warrior class to go together with that?
Also, how do i have to put my skillpoints?
Thx in advance

variety of bars you can run....warrior primary, most of your skills will be warrior - secondary can be changed at your will - so don't worry about it, you can change it once you get far enough into the game so secondary is fairly irrelevent - and you won't be doing anything challenging before you can change your secondary ^_^
anywho, can go /rt for a hard rez (death pact signet) < one option
w/e < think its that - for ERFSHAKR < earthshaker < good build
or you can run the imba powered dragon slash build < i don't recommend it but most other people will recommend it < so just a heads up on that
skill points determine by what bar you run, but generally I like to have atleast 9 in strength - maybe 12 strength and 12 in whichever weapon attribute you have < thats pretty basic but effective, and for w/rt put 3 into restoration magic!
few ideas there

Actually an earth shaker build would sinergyze extremely well with an Ele, you keep a bunch of mobs KD'ed on one spot and they'll take the full effects of the AoE spells.
For reference: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:W/any_PvE_Earth_Shaker
I run the same bar with FGJ! in the optional slot (wich is a must really) and Enduring Harmony instead of SY!, so I'd take Paragon as a 2nd profession. 10 extra seconds of double adrenaline and reducing the cool-down from 25 to 15 seconds makes a big difference.
Just keep in mind, you don't HAVE to take a secondary profession skills with you, in fact warriors a lot of times work better with warrior skills only.
Even in Hard Mode that build does the job wonderfully, VQ'ed Elona and almost all of Cantha with it, no problems at all.

Generally your skills should be warrior skills. You don't have the energy do cast a lot of spells and stuff. When choosing secondary, you should think of what you get out of it:
Hard rez - a good point in some situations, less so in others. Going /Mo gives you access to Rebirth, which is extremely useful sometimes, and a lot of other hard rezzes if you don't like that one. If you instead want an in-combat hard rez I'd suggest going /Rt for Death Pact Signet. /P for Signet of Return is a subpar choice however.
Extra damage - /E and /Mo are good choices, since you can use Conjure <element> and Strength of Honor, respectively. Using these secondaries to cast other damage-dealing spells (Fire Storm, etc...) is not such a good idea. On the other hand, there are non-secondary damage buffs already available to you (Hundred Blades, I Am The Strongest etc.)
Funny weaponry - Going /D will enable you to use a scythe, which can be fun. /P for a spear is more useful in PvP, but can be used in PvE too if you must. Bows are used for pulling only. Daggers are useless.
Condition removal - There's only one thing more annoying for a warrior than not being able to reach his target because of cripple, and that is to not be able to hit it because of blind! It can be a really good idea to pack condition removal, especially since most PvE monks are retards who only bring healing spells. /Mo for Mending Touch, /R for Antidote Signet and /N for Plague Touch are all good choices.
Aggro Management - There's really only one choice here, and that is /E for Grasping Earth. I have heard of someone going /N for Blood Renewal, thinking that the health sacrifice would attract the AI mobs, but I discarded that idea as being stupid.
Tanking - Sigh... Really? Oh, ok then. Warriors are perfectly capable of tanking without a secondary, but in some cases, /Mo or /E skills such as Healing Hands and/or Obsidian Flesh come in handy.
Self heal - No. Don't even think about it. You have Lion's Comfort, other than that, let monks (or whoever your healer is) do the healing.
I notice that people keep masturbating over Earth Shaker. It's a decent template, not the best, certainly not the worst. I'd recommend trying it, but what I'd recommend most of all is to change builds often, try new stuff a lot. Play the entire game, not just one little build - that will make you a much better player. Good luck!

A decent alternative to the earth shaker build is the WE axe build if your friend can slot GDW.

You aren't allowed to just ask for builds because it's kind of difficult for us to help you unless you give us an good idea of the direction you wanted to go. We would also need to know which campaigns you two had and what kind of E/mo your friend was going to be... if he is going to be an ether renewal healer you guys will be playing a lot different than if he was a fire nuker or an earth or water supporter.
So check here for some basic build ideas and check the sticky as well. Once you have an idea of what you want to do and can answer those questions, start a new thread.
