Default Warrior with Prophecies + EotN

Alright guys, so I just got EotN one night ago (I know - took my a LONG time to move up from Proph)

I came here to request some help from you more experienced GW players, I am seeking a Warrior build with skills that come from Proph + EotN

My current set is:

Healing Prayers - 10
Strength - 10
Axe Mastery - 13

Skills:

For great justice
Dismember
Axe Twist
Executioner Strike
Power Attack
Vigorous Spirit (I had Strength of Honor before)
Rush
and Signet of Capture

All my armor (except helmet) has Vitae + Survivor

and hands have Attunement (+2 Energy)

So - what builds do you guys recommend?

I also got Vekk, Ogden, and Gwen as my heroes (just have 3 as of the moment) all in their original classes and skill set - except Vekk who I added Lightning Javelin.

Thank you

How far have you gotten in prophecies? Have you captured any elite skills yet? That said, have you captured elites for your heroes?

I am right @ Thunderhead Keep - and I only got 2 ELITE - which I don;t use anymore (as one is Gladiator's D and Melandru's Resilience)

I am looking to cap Cleave and/or Eviscerate for myself though

Head back to the desert to cap warrior's endurance.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Warrior%27s_Endurance

Power attack becomes instantly spammable. Pumping strength, you can have +40 every 3 seconds. Also do the desert quests to change your secondary.
e.g. ether renewal for vekk and word of healing are also available there, and very powerful skills.

From that you can work on capping skills for your heroes. Switch back to strength of honor, as with warrior's endurance energy isn't a problem.

+1 recommendation for Warrior's Endurance.

Also, the only time you should put points into a Monk attribute is when you don't have access to heroes and want 10Smiting for SoH. Any other skills or attributes could be spent better. NEVER EVER run monk heals.

I'd also have a look at capping Earth Shaker, hammers are too awesome to miss out on imo.

I already did the change proffession quest (all of them in the desert)

I DID have SoH equipped than was told by a a fellow guild member, that I should change it to vigorous spirit since you can't trust Hero Monks.

and I was thinking of getting earth shaker - especially since I just unlocked Jora as a hero.

You should stop listening to that guild member.

Anyway, definitely unlock Earth Shaker. Try to collect elites you think will be useful. You don't want to want to use something and then find it isn't unlocked. Variety is good too. It's not expensive either.

If you've got no hero's to smite with really, Or your heros need skills to manage it properly go soh yourself.

Heroes are great, and react quickly - just don't tie up your monk giving him high energy spells without energy management skills - or long cast time skills.

Put your rez on other heroes. If your monk is rezzing - who is healing?

Ether Renewal on an elementalist is sick. technically, they can spam more heals and prots than a monk can (or any spells really). It's worth playing around with.

I trust hero monks, mhenlo, lina, the sunspear allies you pick up when building your base in nightfall and alesia in that order before pug monks.

I unlocked Cleave and Eviscerate last night - and Eviscerate is absolutely beast, I am going down to the desert to see if I can cap Warrior's Endurance so that way I can have multiple builds.

and earth shaker will be just for Jora since I can't stand hammers for my own use.

and where can I get some good energy management skills for monks in Proph + EotN

Thanks

Click on energy gain down this page
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Energy

Now as a healing monk, your monk needs to be available to heal. Not attacking, not busy casting long spells - So keep that in mind when choosing skills.

Interrupts do work well - in fact it's generally better done by the Heroes than players. Mesmer interrupts are quick and don't waste time. Leech signet, power drain and waste not want not are all quite potent. As a side note - interrupting a big spell/skill also means there's less to heal, further conserving energy.

Divine spirit is a great way for monks to conserve energy. It's best used with low recharge, fast casting 5 energy skills - e.g. reversal of fortune, word of healing.

Glyph of energy works for a couple spells, but I've never found it to help too much. It's long recharge better fits long recharge spells - and as a monk, most of your spells will probably on fast recharge (cept maybe aegis).

The standard Ether Renewal hero (elementalist) is
Ether Renewal + Aura of restoration + spam skills...
When Ether Renewal and Aura of restoration is up, your elementalist hero gains 9 energy on casting a spell - so energy is not a problem. Use a weapon of enchanting to extend Ether Renewal's duration.

Examples of skills you can try here would be protective spirit, Heal other, Infuse health (careful with this one), mend condition, reversal of fortune etc.

See here for builds http://www.gwpvx.com/PvX_wiki
you may not be able to make most since they will use skills from factions and nightfall, but you should be able to determine what you can replace them with unless there's a mechanic the build is dependent upon.

for your Vekk, make him E/Mo Renewal Orders (12 blood, 12+1+2 energy core skills : Ether Renewal, Aura of Restoration, Order of Pain, and since you dont have factions and NF, roll in some skills you'd like on him (Life Steal, Wells if you dont have minions, etc.)

Ogden makes up for an superb healer with the right skills, WoH is easy to cap for you, so : 12+1+1 healing, 10+1 divine, 8 inspiration Word of Healing, Dwayna's Kiss, Patient Spirit, Vigorous Spirit, open spot, open spot, Power Drain, Waste not Want not

Gwen is a ideal shutdown character, focus on getting this : (12+1+2 domination, 10+1 FC, 8 Inspiration, Panic, Clumsiness, Wandering Eye, Power Drain, Waste not Want not, Chaos Storm, Wastrel's Worry, Res signet)

And i recommend you take Strength of Honor on yourself.
