So, looks like the Vengeful run & the 55/SS duo run are ruined, since now casting SS causes aggro to immediately switch to the necro, and Vengeful won't be able to kill the Smites b/c of scatter.
Looks like farming will be a challenge again instead of a walk in the park.
The price of ecto has already gone from 6.5 to 9.5+ in the last 3 hours or so.

Newsflash no it isn't.
After doing some testing I found that small groups of melee will not run and by small I mean 3ish. Now that being said finding an area with melee + ranged mobs that trigger VwK is where it's at.
to test this out you can zone right out of the market place and aggro the first 3 jade knights to the right, they won't flee. Now zone back in to reset the zone and this time aggro all 6 of them and watch them flee.
The days of huge groups running up and dying may be over but farming isn't dead, just a bit slower.

Well the fact that farming the UW is slow and is very hard to make a large profit over time made the ectos raise in price Also all the naive players bought ectos because they thought the UW is unfarmable... but i still do it

Well taking 3 mobs at time will take much more time and not just a bit.. i did few vermin runs now and it took me 3-4 times as long as before.. I just think that solo farming just wont be profitable enough anymore ( too loong for too little money ).
If Anet wants group farming than i hope they will increase drop rates; wasting 2 hours for not getting any good drop i dont think i will be into it... But to tell the truth if there wont be anything to do after completing storyline ( considering that quests have really stupid rewards ), well I dont know what will i do ( maybe i ll just read more books than while i was playing GW )

Nah it's not. Even since the AI update I can still solo kephket with a VwK build, I've been doing it regular to feed my hero monks, and I've also cleared ark ward in elona with the same build & I've taken down the warrior boss (and gotten his shield) a few times.

Umm, no mate. Clearing Jade Brotherhood and Am Fah from the Wajjun Bazaar still works for me. Sure, you have to be a little more careful and I can't aggro the first 6 Jade Brotherhood all at once but it's still perfectly doable.

I just took Sliver Armor out to the vermin and they didn't seem to scatter from it.

There are new spots where VwK farming works very well. Look for areas with a mixture of melee and ranged mobs.
I ll give a little hint: they like to buzzzzzzz

Buggies outside Yohlon Haven have already been know to be farmable. If you're hinting elsewhere, then do share. If not, nice try.

Does it work with a certain type of ranged mob? Hint: they like to hoot, and look like giant baboons!

Bugs outside Yohlon Haven do work, but are not very profitable due to being lvl 16. Jahai Bluffs has bugs 4 levels higher, and in some areas of desolation, there are lvl 24 bugs.
Even those are farmable by VwK, though I use Ghostforge Armor with resilient weapon for those to deal with the higher damage output. Examples are just outside Basalt Grotto.
The giant baboons work too, but takes a longer time.
Core being, ideal conditions are about 5-7 ranged mobs, and 3 melee mobs, so nothing ever runs away.

Hekets can be soloed, but its not overly efficient and a bit tricky with casters if they stand too far from each other to be affected by visage.
basically, you run in, stand next to the healer heket, and hopefully any necro hekets, so they get drained by the melees hitting you. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt and you have to finish them off manually, which takes time and ruins the efficiency of the run.
If you need heket tongues etc. for a collector, thats a perfectly fine way to get them though. I recommend Dejarin estate in that case anyhow.

I wish I had discovered this build earlier...
Now they rarely actually attack me long enough to kill themselves. Instead, they run -_-

in Prophecies you can farm even the Fog Nightmares (and the Minotaurs lvl 19) in Black Courtain (outside Temple of the Ages)...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqHXp94eY6M
Mend Body and Soul
Vengeful Was Khanhei
Serpent's Quickness
Vengeful Weapon
Renewing surge --> channeling
Resilient Weapon
Quickening Zephyr
Storm Chaser
Recuperation = 12+3+1
Channeling = 10+1
Wild = 8
in this area you can drop tribal axes, and the Fog nightmares are lvl 20, so... maybe (if you are lucky) you can obtain gold drops or some tribal axe ^^" (but they are very rare).

I used to farm the Fog Nightmares on my warrior >.>
The rare drop rate in the black curtain is pretty high, or ...was back in the day. I assume thats because hardly anyone farms there :P

the build i use when we dont have favor to solo UW it kinda deals with the aoe dmg thing...not on high lvl monsters like the mountain trolls but it will get the job done
restoration 16
chanelling 12
inspiration 3
Echo
VwK
vengful wep
ansestors rage
spirit rift
physical resitance
soothing memories
last skill u can use whatever...to farm ettins in kryta use complicateto inturpt healing signet
cast physical resitance
then echo
then VwK
then spam ansestors rage
dont use spirit rift until almost dead...because it has higher energy and i think it counts as Aoe dmg because they seem to scter if u cast to early...spirit rift should be the final kill
only cast vengful wep if u need to for health
it works with alot of tyran monsters...havent really tried it in nightfall...nightfall was made to really not allow very much solo farming
if anyone knows some good places in nightfall im sure everyone would like to know
