ritualist/assassin build suggestions
hey everyone
i've got a ritualist/assassin and i was wondering if anyone could give me some good advice on a solo farming build, preferably one that could handle mobs and do quite a bit of AoE damage, with good health recuperation/defense too. i'd prefer it to be based on assassin skills, as i love using daggers, but if it has to be mostly based on rit skills, so be it.
my current build's just useful enough to survive with henchies through most situations, but it's pretty weak(flashing blades, splinter weapon, jagged strike, wild strike, death blossom, spirit rift, ancestor's rage, shadow refuge)
any advice would be welcome, thanks in advance!

Go Rt/Mo and run the 330hp Vengeful Spirit Bonder or the 600hp tank.

Agreed with Rt/Mo as a 330hp Vengeful. I farm Fahranur, The First City on HM and can tank the mob of skale just before you enter the city. It's neat watching the -33 fly up on the screen. During festival times, I like to go to Minister Cho's estate and just kill the diseased animals for tokens, cupcakes etc...
As for the assassin secondary, I just use [Assassin's Promise] + [Discord] team and things die fast.

... You want to do AOE damage with daggers, so Splinter Weapon. I get that much. But you want self-heals, too. This automatically means you're going Channeling/Resto. But you want to farm when your Primary Profession is a squishy Ritualist, going into melee? I just don't see it working.
What Campaigns do you have, what are you planning on farming for, and just what is it that a Sin can offer beyond daggers and Assassin's Promise for you?
You say you want to go solo-farming, but you're bringing henchies. Is it because your current build is that weak, or are you going on the definition of solo that means: "I'm only bringing Heroes and Henchies"? Which is fine, I do that myself. Please clarify.

If you are a ritualist primary use it. Don't base your build around your secondary.
If you want to use assassin skills, make an assassin.

by solo i meant by myself, but if a rit/a doesn't survive without heroes or henchies then so be it. i don't want to farm anything in particular, i just want to be able to get rid of any mob that might cross paths with me, i've got all campaigns and gwen too

Then definitely go Discord Spam team like Kitor linked. I've vanquished half of Cantha using that build (adjusting your hero's for different areas). And if you have GWEN, then I'd suggest to max your Ebon Vanguard first, then Norn. Ebon Vanguard is the grind of the 4 gwen titles. But the vanguard assassin at lvl 20 can be a tank, and if you manage to fire off 2-3 vanguard sin's it's just mob kill.

You sir, are a bigger man than I am!
Even if you are a chick, that demands some massive balls of dedication!

Surprise, surprise - another vote for the AP PvE-skills spammer with Discord heroes.

Everything comes to the AP build with Discord in the end.. It's just the fact that you don't have to think anything else than mashing 1234 and advance to the next enemy and it just.. it just.. works.
But I'd suggest the OP to test different Spirit's Strength builds with Assassin attacks, because yes, oh yes, you WILL use the AP build sooner or later It's quite the fun to play a melee sometimes, just remember to use the insignias that give you +15 armor while under a weapon spell and you're ready to go do some stabbing.

Sir. Call me sir, sir. Thanks. And when I want things to be done, I'll do them (to be honest, I didn't really enjoy Tyrian VQ so much.. so had to do it quickly with AP Discrod lol)
TL;DR
Ghost Forge Insignia (Armor +15 (while affected by a Weapon Spell))
[Spirit's Strength] or [Assassin's Promise]
Oh and baack to the topic:

None for Rt/A this far.

[Ancestor's Rage][Splinter Weapon][Weapon of Warding]
Go hunt that [Spirit's Strength] from Churahm to make your build more effective.
