I sometimes use WoShadow as a support skill, especially if you have one player in your team that usually holds aggro. It's a great skill against Barragers (ie. FoW etc) and you can potentionally keep them blinded for 15 of 20 seconds while they're hitting one target.
In other circumstances I take Blind Was Mingson and stick close to the squishies, pre-cast. If melee mobs breaks free (like Aataxes in UW), just cast it to drop the one you're holding to neutralize them. Usually they're dead before blind wears off, if not just drop your other urn.

both good, but note with all the plague sending necs in pvp, blind can be used against your own team

If you're testing this in PvP, the weapon of warding still does have only a 2 second net recharge allowing for you to switch targets if the melee switches targets. Generally if they see Weapon of Shadow go up, they instantly go for a different target and then the other person is pressured while your Weapon of Shadow is still recharging.

The one and only aspect where shadow is better than warding is it doesn't get removed if you attack. 20 second recharge? No melee ever sits on a target for that long, unless you're playing with/against horrible players, but in that case it doesn't matter much does it?

I like WoW better, although it is a bit annoying when that monk, mesmer, whatever starts wanding after you've casted WoW on him...

As I see it, Blind is easier to remove than a weapon spell that only ends when the person its active on does something (or it runs out)
That's the only reason I believe WoW is better then WoS.

The recharge makes WoS unreliable. It's still good enough that it sees some play in PvP, but that's on bars that already have WoW on them.
