Good starting secondary for Rit?
OK, I just started a Rit like 30 minutes ago and he's level 4 and he's about to get a secondary... so what is a good secondary for a newbie Ritualist so he can get through most of factions?
Thanks for all the help.

You don't need a secondary to get through. Anything is fine.

Rt/E is good sometimes, for e-management, Rt/Mo is good for healing/support, Rt/A for dag rit or AP rit, or Rt/N for MM rits.

Rt/R is fun too if you plan on abusing Spirit Strength or Barrage + Splinter Weapon.

If you're going to take him over to C1 before you get Closer to the stars - might I suggest a core secondary class?
That way you get some free skills.
My ritualists were always rangers because of my love of rituals - but necro would be much better.

I personally went for /N. high spawning power + boon of creation + summon bone minions = low level win.
MMs in PvE are generally overpowered, and running one allowed me to steamroll my way to KC and get to EotN faster to unlock heroes.

Mesmer can be helpful too. Some of the mantra's are good to prevent being interrupted on the long casting times of the spawns.

PS: Resto Necro currently out-of-date, considering replacing with Rit or different build. Will update later.

I used a necro and minions. But I also do all the secondary profession quests inner ring and outer ring to get to level 11 before taking the secondary. We have power levelled a character to level 20 in 3 hrs 17 minutes.

Pretty much anything will work for Rt secondary. Mine was Necro starting out but I never used any Necro skills. Now it's Assassin simply for shadow steps.
Also if you're only level 4, you shouldn't be taking your secondary yet; do all of the quests first. It's easy xp for little work.

How do people do that? The fastest I've ever gotten a character to level 20 was about 13-14 hours.

It takes about 2 hours to get to level 11/12 by doing all the quests around Shing Jea, before even doing the first mission. I remember by the time I reached KC, doing several quests along the way, I was almost at level 20. That only took a couple of hours after completing Minister Cho's Estate (but it's been a while, so I could be wrong).
In this case, I suspect Kilroy is involved.

I bet he is, Euphemism. Simply is the easiest and fastest way to level up.
B2t: Your secondary doesn't really matter. Rits these days steamroll through PvE no matter which secondary you pick.
/Mo gives you the possibility of extra heals/prots/condi removal/hex removal.
/R gives you Splinter Barrage, or Spirit's Strength+Splinter+Volley.
/W gives you,... Maybe Splinter Cyclone Axe/Triple Chop?
/N gives you tough minions (read: high-on-health minions).
/E gives you,... Well, Glyph of Lesser Energy, I guess.
/Me gives you a Mantra to stop interrupts from happening, aswell as some skills that are just fun to play around with.
/A gives you Spirit's Strength dagger rits, or Assassin's Promise, as already noted above.
/X gives you spirits, Painful Bond, Summon Spirits (Luxon/Kurzick) and Armor of Unfeeling.
/X gives you great energy management in the form of Offering of Blood (Just cast a Bloodsong and take it with you with Summon Spirits (Luxon/Kurzick) while spamming Spirit Rift (Works in PvE).
/X gives you great party support by heals, damage mitigation spirits and,... Splinter Weapon.
