Spirit's Strength PvE
Thinking of doing some long range dmg with a wep with my rit. Bored of having spirits/EVAS doing all my dmg Xp
Any ideas would be great. As of now I have
Spirit's Strength [E]
Splinter Weapon
Nightmare Weapon
Triple Shot
Savage Shot
Poison Tip Sig
Finish Him!
Flesh of my Flesh
Just something I wanted to play around with

You even reading the build bro?
Nightmare reduces damage..so you would have to surpass the life it steals to do any additional damage.
Splinter is 5 attacks, the recasting constantly will only lower DPS.
Nightmare is 3, again, same thing.
Triple is okay...I guess..
Savage is too high energy imo
Poison is useless
FH is generally useless in a build like this
Only run Spirit Strength if you have two using GDW.

poison is a filler
triple goes with nightmare for a spike (150 dmg)
the triple shot+nightmare wep was basically the build, I don't know what else to put in it.

Using a spear is better, IMO

For a bow I would definately consider Volley for this style of build. Savage shot isn't really needed, although if you do want an interupt, go for D-shot, it's great even for non-rangers.
Poison tip signet is a waste of a slot.
FH isn't really needed either, expecially with bow attacks and the need to spam weapon spells, I think you will run out of energy fairly quickly. Even without FH you could have some issues.

spirit's strength, splinter wep, aggressive wep, volley
or if you're super brave spirit's strength, whirlwind attack, agressive wep, sun and moon slash

As Axel recommended, use a spear instead. Ranger attack spells are expensive if you want to spam them and you will probably have energy problems.
And I would use weapon of agression instead, or Great Dwarf Weapon if you are running with a fellow player.
Sometimes I use this for vanquishing:
[build prof=Ritualist/Paragon SpawningPower=12 RestorationMagic=2 ChannelingMagic=6 SpearMastery=11][Asuran Scan][Barbed Spear][Blazing Spear]["I Am The Strongest!"][Spirit's Strength][Sight Beyond Sight][Weapon of Aggression][Flesh of My Flesh][/build]
60-70 DPS even in HM.

actually, a friend of mine made a build along these lines awhile back. he used vital wep to keep the wepeon spell accomplished, and the tribs where...
13 spawning, 12 marksman, and 7 communing granting he was trying to use it at a pvp spike, but on auto attack with a 15^while enchant and sundering, we were able to hit for 100's on auto attack. its insane if you get a build like this to work, but its very worth it. contact me in game if you still have trouble with this build

You can run a scythe build. Most likely stuff like zealous sweep and the mystic sweep (whichever is bonus damage for enchants). You'll probably want great dwarf armor as a cheap cover enchant. If you get a buddy you can both bring greater dwarf weapon to fulfill the being under a weapon spell and do more damage with knockdowns.
Now you can even throw in a cheaply specced conviction for better survivability.

A build i've used in the past is:
Triple Shot
Needling Shot
Asuran Scan
Read the Wind
Vital Weapon
Ebon Battle Standard of Honor or "I Am The Strongest!"
Sight Beyond Sight
Spirit's Strength
Spawning - 11+1+1, Marksmanship - 11, Communing - 8
Zealous Bow of Enchanting with a +5e mod.
Triple Shot hits for ~350, Needling for 138 and auto attacks for ~125 against a 100AL target. For a 60AL it's ~420 for Triple and ~140 for auto attacks. Needling is the same since it's all armour ignoring. This is at max EotN rep ranks. As a single target spike it hits extremely hard but you need to pay close attention to energy use.
Basic use is use Triple shot to take a target below 50% HP then machine gun to death with Needling. It's pretty energy intensive if you spam all the skills on recharge. Body Shot with an external source of weaken armour could be used instead of RtW to help with energy.
I find a better build is to use a spear.
Spear of Lightning
Merciless Spear
Asuran Scan
"I Am The Strongest!"
Ebon Battle Standard of Honor
Weapon of Aggression
Sight Beyond Sight
Spirit's Strength
Spawning - 11+1+1, Spear Mastery - 10, Channeling - 10+1
Zealous Spear of Enchanting with a +5e mod.
Against 100AL Spear of Lightning does ~175 dmg and auto attacks ~130. Against 60AL SoL hits for ~190 and auto attacks for ~150. Merciless spear hits for the same as an auto attack (130-150ish) but applies DW making it do an effective total damage of 230-250ish.
It's also quite easy to run with a zealous spear and auto attacks giving you lots of energy.
Almost all the damage is armour ignoring making it ideal for HM. Either build will kill pretty much any unprotted target in a few seconds in HM and if there's a healer on the enemy team you should overpower them fairly quickly, especially with the spear chucker.
