Default ST DoA Rt/R - Empowerment or no?

Per the DoA Frostway build for clearing it in Hard Mode:
http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build%3ATeam_-_DoA_Frostway

I enjoy running the Soul Twisting build a lot... it's a little slice of Zen, rotating Shelter and Union. Reminds me of when I used to do it in GvG's!

I have modified the build in the linked thread a little. I bring Signet of Creation rather than Lightbringer Signet. It keeps me a bit safer and still provides e-management.

Recently, I did the DWG role in a Frostway clear, and the ST rit was using Empowerment. This made me wonder: is Empowerment really sought after in this build? Should I abandon a skill (most likely my e-management signet, since everything else is mandatory) and bring Empowerment instead?

So, I tried it once. I found that with Empowerment in the build, I really struggled while in the City of Tor'qua. The team isn't like "let's pull smaller packs because everyone's e-starved" -- no, it's still usually full speed ahead. So now, while not having a signet which gave energy, I had to keep up a 5th spirit at all times, which made my energy troubles even worse. This is my first reason to not want to bring Empowerment.

I also thought back to when I was the DWG in the party and the ST was using Empowerment. I actually like it when my "while carrying the bundle" maxenergy is less than my "while not carrying the bundle" maxenergy. That way when the Kayas use Energy Surge on me, I can drop the pot, have some energy with which to cast Glaive, and drop it again. When using Empowerment, this option wasn't available to me. So that's my second reason.

So, I'm making this post to find out if I'm on the right track or not. Should I forget about bringing Empowerment? If I must bring it, is my e-management signet the right skill to drop for it? I really like the e-management signet for City and also for Foundry (dream riders will ride 1000 miles to shatter me!).

Amidoinitrite?

My build:
1. Winter
2. Edge of Extinction
3. Shelter
4. Union
5. Soul Twisting
6. Boon of Creation
7. Signet of Creation
8. Summon Spirits

Yes,empowerment is next to useless.

dwgs wont profit much from the extra 10 energy or hp.
waste of slot imo,or in this case e managment.

I agree pretty much with Šiljo. And I run exact the same build as you. Signet of Creation keeps energy up as much as LB signet without agroing anything. Empowerment is just not worth it =P

I agree with OP: with signet of creation one can almost keep a perma-shelter-union up in City, whereas empowerment will drain ST energu for little benefit to DWGs

ST spirits are more important than DWGs having a little more energy, which effect is not reallly noticeable.

Fully agree with the build you're running.

Now whether ST is fun? Don't know it's maybe a bit boring cycling spirits on the spot all the time, I'd rather play Panic which I believe is most fun and more relaxed then running UA/HB together with a below average imba/ST/panic.
