I recently came back to GW after a long break. Now I lost all my templates and stuff and I've generally forgotten most things about builds so I was wondering if you would be so kind to share some insight on common NM/HM builds and I would also want some opinions on what heroes to use and common builds on them too. I have all campaigns.

Sure pvxwiki is nice and all but I really dont like it, the rating system is just bad and besides, you guys are insane with comming up with builds

Do you have any suggestions for what heroes to bring and a couple of builds for them? I am currently running me+2-3 ranger heroes

and monk if 2 rangers. I am usually incindiary/splinter or BA while one ranger use Magebane or BHA while the other one I'm thinking about making EBA, if I go another ranger I usually make him a BA or something or a monk with WoH hybrid build.

In NM anything will work, splinter barrage is nice for quickly dropping mobbed up foes. In HM try BHA, Volley, D-Shot, Savage Shot, Optional + 3 pve skills. I usually go with ebon battle standard of honor, pain inverter and finish him. As for the hero builds, try the triple necro vanquish build on pve (aka Sabway), there is also discord spammers (discordway), and if you go R/W and can maintain Save Yourselves, 2 paragons + D/N orders works nicely. All of these are up in the heroes and AI section.

Imo BHA/Epidemic/Volley isnt very good, but some people really like that.

So now I got some builds like BHA, BA, Splinterbarrage etc etc so now that that's settled, do you think 3 ranger heroes are viable?

Yesterday I used me, 3 ranger heroes, aidan and zho and 2 monk henches.
It worked quite well but it was still only medicore, although with some tweaking it might become good.
Maybe me as BHA, one as EDA and maybe one or two as BA or splinterbarrage.

Welcome back.
For hard mode, not sure I recommend 3 ranger heroes. Depending on the skills you've gotten unlocked...

I like a prot monk, an interrupt mesmer, and a nuker of some kind--Savannah Heat or Searing Flames, Tenai's heat (and the proph. skill that's a copy of that), and some more fire stuff...

Interrupt mes: (4 interrupts)
Cry of Frustration,
Empathy,
Power leak/power lock/power spike (2 of those 3, depends on what effects you like)
Drain Enchantment
Shatter Hex or Revealed Hex/Inspired Hex
Mantra of Recovery
Power Drain

Prot monk:
Prot Spirit,
Reversal of Fortune
Restore Condition or Zealous Benediction
the rest...have fun with.

"it's not our job to make you a build from scratch etc etc"?
