Paragons finding partys
well im thinking of making a paragon and finishing Nightfall, if i like the paragon at the end of the game i was going to get fow armor.
i was just wondering how is it for a paragon to find partys and is thier build that are needed for elite farming DoA, FoW, Deep Etc. Also whats the general responce to a paragon, i have an assassin and i still find alot of people disliking me but i dont want to go though that again
thanks

I think Paragons have the same problem getting into parties as anyone who isn't a Tank Warrior, Monk, SF Elementalist, B/P Ranger or SS,MM,BiP Necro.
I think the only useful advice I can give you is to join a guild with more people, and party with your guildmates. Try looking for a guild in Sunspear Sanctuary or Kamadan during the hours that you play. While guild hopping is not very nice, if you are in an empty or unhelpful guild, feel free to get another one.
I have not played with you, so I do not know if people have any reason to dislike you. If they dislike you just because you're playing an Assassin, then they probably do not know how to play with one in the party.

And remember paragon is an awesome party buffer, play to your parties strengths and don't be selfish.
Biggest problem in pug pve is that people pay little consideration to party wide synergy and mostly focus on being selfish.

First and best option is to organize outings with your Guild, that would allow you to take about any character and build. If you don't have a Guild, go and look for one.
With my Paragon I didn't really found it a huge problem to find groups, or at least not more or less hard than on another character. I did found that finding a group in Factions and Prophecies is more easy than in NF, probably because Paragons are even more rare there.
For UW/FoW you don't really need a very specific build so you will have a decent chance to get into a group for those, but for DoA it is just pointless to try. The Deep is a bit in between the two, in a Guild team it won't be a problem at all, but PUG won't be easy.

While I realize no one really looks for Paragons when making a group, I personally have never had any issue being allowed in if they need people. That goes for secluded missions in Factions that no one plays anymore and groups are desperate, all the way up to district 1 of ToA during peak hours of American Favor.
I know that the theory goes that Paragons are a low-desirability class, in practice I have never been turned away solely because they thought Paragons were useless. I really do not believe the average player is that uptight about it.

I finished Nightfall with my Paragon, and I also got protector of Elona with him. I've never had that big problems getting a party. I used him most as an Armor Buffer or just dmg build. GL.

With the new addition of PvE skills, Paragons are becoming more popular...

Sin got a bad rep because most people thought they could tank with a sin and the monks got mad and monks mad = no heals.

In all of my time playing GW, finding a party has been 10% profession and 90% attitude. Sometimes you'll be faced with a party who already has two P/Ws and don't need a third, and you'll just have to accept that. Other than that, I've never had a single incident of being rejected due to my profession, regardless of what I've played. I haven't touched the very end-game areas yet, though, and realize that they call for very specific builds that exclude all but a handful of options. In all other cases, presenting yourself with a positive attitude, a willingness to adapt, and a good mood has done the job for me.

I've not had much problem findin a party as a Paragon tbh, if the party already has one paragon I tend to steer clear if I'm invited. Too many of the same profession doesn't often work...like the groups who seem to think 5 dervishes all screaming "LF Monks for Mission" in Gate of Madness is the way forwards.
I think the OP should have better luck finding a group with a Paragon than he did with his Sin...Sins got a reputation in Factions very quickly for just dying fast. Whenevr I play Paragon, or play with a Paragon, it' often the Paragon left standing at the end of a party-wipe so survivability isn't really an issue.

Actually Paragon's scale very well (too well in fact). If the team Para's set-up synergy with each other, your team will very hard to kill. Well... Hard for the crappy mobs anyways...

I have to agree with Frojack, Im a paragon player who looks for parties with 2 or more paragons. Paragons synergize very well especially a trio of them. The main issue you find with PUGs is that people are selfish even with skill selection. They tend to think "I" rather than the humility of "Team" because of this attitude few consider the benefit of having a paragon join their team.

I don't run many teams in hard mode without a paragon, they're just that good. Paragons actually do scale very well, you can get huge chains of echo and finales going that can't be removed. If it's overpowered in PvP, it's overpowered in PvE.

most of my guildies love paragons at least in the team, they are great supporters and can still maintain a great amount of damage.
they take pressure off of the monks with zealous shouts and anthems.
one of my guildies always runs with a [war HH] [1hb seed 1 bond] [2sf ele]
[1 bip and a ss] and a [paragon or a ritualist]
paragons and ritualists are normally just filler classes ;\
i found somone soloing fow on youtube.. i'll have to find it again and send you the link, the build is leet.
