Actually an okay profession, just not properly balanced and not terribly indispensable. Trying to keep Mending Refrain up on your entire party is as fun as having your eyes poked out. Continously.
"Please stay within earshot... Do you still have SuperMending? And you? Okay... Please stay within earshot you're going to miss an Anthem... No I can't see whether or not you have it... Please stay within earshot..."
Yeah, I can see why people don't like them as a Support class.

Paragon's are undoubtedly one of the most powerful professions in both formats of play. I wouldn't pay to much attention to all whines about paragons, we had the same thing with necro's when SR was nerfed despite the fact soul reaping is still horribly broken.
The only hurdle paragons face is the ignorance of PUG's who do not uderstand the power of the class. Good luck with your para and i hope you continue to enjoy it.

I have yet to bring my Paragon into some of the more challenging situations in the game, he is an LS character, and only 100k away from the title. I couldn't really say whether he is over powered or not, as I don't use him in challenging combat yet.

Those echo skills for allies I'll never use.
I mean, honestly, who has the uber-micro skillz to keep them on everyone?
There's no way to keep track of who has it on and who hasn't unless you're an NPC.

I don't think the intent was ever for echoes on allies to be maintained between combats, just to last through the combat. That said, it is possible to keep them on everbody by staying within earshot of them all and popping off an anthem every ten seconds.
One of my guildies responded to the patch with the line "Life after Aggressive Refrain: Oddly liberating". I (coincidentially) haven't played my Para since the nerf, but I can certainly see how it could be a lot less tedious than having to spam Anthem of Flame/Fury every ten seconds, in and out of combat, to keep the refrains up. I get enough of the stop-start play with the MM.
Another of my guildies is still maintaining a pile of echoes on the entire party with his Paragon, but I'd personally rather fill my skill slots with things I can actually do rather than things I have to maintain.

I love my Paragon. She's the only one to make Legendary Survivor for me. My Assassin died just before getting Survivor, and my Rit and Dervish half way to Indomitable Survivor. But the Paragon, cake!
In fact, I got through all three campaigns, seven maxed titles, and almost all of the way through GW:EN before she died. That's 3.2 million XP! And if I weren't with friends, I would have made it out of Oola's Lab and kept going... But I didn't want to do that to them, and have to restart the dungeon.
I think they are the most survivable class of them all. (Given the right build...)

Yup about as fun now as an Assassin when Factions was first released.
Also about as wanted too.
Yup Para's are liked and wanted in Elite missions and groups now.

I couldn't make it off Istan with my paragon. Probably not enough time to really learn how to play them in PvE, but it was just too boring for me.
But with all this talk I hear about how good they can be in PvE, I've been experimenting with Paragon heroes a little bit, and they seem to be a solid class even with the recent nerfs.

Theyre still going quite good imo, anthem of weariness is the new gem for teh paragons imo.. mass weakness with a proper teambuild ^^
paras are a little on the boring side with just having to spam most skills imo, but it's nice to support the team

I made my paragon just over 2 weeks ago, and just been playing with him, I enjoy playing with him and still haven't died yet
Even almost completed eye of the north, and am at Realm of Torment in nightfall.

I would be curious to see what build you use. O.o
I still enjoy playing mine...ALOT. its about the only character I play...
I am planning on making him my title hoe. he is worth over 400K already so...I can't really just let him go...
I couldn't say he is OVERPOWERED in PvE. Mine was GOING to be a LS character but I died in Frostmaw's Lair. the first dungeon I have made when EotN came out. didn't think it was that hard...
''HOLY CRAP! 5 FROST WURMS AND 1 FROSTMAW SPAWN!!'' *25x wurm bile*
- Wtf...
Lost my title at 880K exp...funny part is that I did it maybe a couple weeks later and I didn't die...
Anyways, Bryant...if you could either post or PM me that build you use. I would be very greatfull.

My build works quite nicely (in screenshot above)
When against destroyers replace anthem of flame with another skill.
When not against torment stuff replace lightbringers gaze with something else.

Please, no more wining about how horrible paragons are. Please only discuss the pros and cons, without sarcasm.
Thanks. ( I deleted my paragon, but still love them )

Paragons goooood, really, I use them in a few hero builds of mine and the're very, very nice. They're especially good at keeping the team clean of hexes and conditions, because the hench monks usually kinda suck at that. The paragon can boost defenses AND do damage at the same time, and their energy seems to be endless.
If only they didn't do such a dirty hack job on aggressive refrain, they should just have lowered the armor, but applying cracked armor every time the chant refreshes is just ridiculous.
