your not a core 6, anything a little from the norm "He burns" "she heals" "He Slashes" "She casts" sort of things tend to go meh in pugs
I think in the pecking order of PuG Discrimnation its a little somthing like this
(1 being least wanted)
5. Dervish
4. Mesmers
3. Ritualists
2. Assassins
1. Paragons
(and odly everyone I know seems to play one of those as their main and , agaisnt popular opinion, We tend to do rater well for ourselves)

Took the words right out of my mouth. I'm thinking about rolling one just for those reasons.

It's a Luxon/Kurzick skill, actually. Someone in my guild says that Warriors are the worst class, dervishes can outdamage them, paragons can outdefend them, and eles/dervs can outtank them. So if someone prefers someone else to me, naturally I'd hate the competitor.
So according to Stormlord Alex, I'm neither PvE'er or PvP'er.

Go run it on your Mo/E then, Luxon/kurzick is its attribute, not it's class

No one holds an Eternal Blade + Shield Set (or any other weapon sets) like a true warrior does.

Paragons are a great profession. You can make a paragon that can reduce the damage to the entirely party by 1/3rd continuously for example.
Cautery Signet owns also.
Warriors are actually worse off in PvE specifically. Other than the Obsidian tank for hard area's (which ele's can do as well) there's hardly a need for a warrior.
The main problem is that other classes can do more damage and using a warrior as a tank doesn;t work very well. The reason is that the warrior hasn't got enough defences to stay alive on his own long enough for aggroing the enemies to work very well. You need a good group who really understands how aggro circles and luring work and strangely most people don't get it including a lot of warriors.
Most people will accept a Dervish as melee character and it does better cause a Dervish can still do some damage even when blinded. Blinding and such are the biggest bane to melee characters in that sense. The DPS just goes to crap instantly with that 90% miss chance but the Dervish hits more targets and some attacks do additional damage even when he misses. Warriors don't have that.
Personally I think that in GW2, where they want to limit the amount of professions back, they should combine the warrior and paragon classes into one.
But as always a lot of people don't understand what some classes can really do like the para's and mesmers out there and you get a real life situation of discrimination like you see at schools and other places in the real world. People are stupid is probably the best summary.

I've always thought paras are pretty bleh.. i made one myself when i heard of save yourselves.. but i couldn't keep it up much but come to think about it i was also using spear attacks etc so you won't be doing anything else apart from using 2 skills in your bar to keep that up..
Can anyone here tell me what paras actually have apart from 2 pve skills. (save yourselfs + theres nothing to fear).

I think mesmers should be lower and paragons higher. As much as PvE pickup groups hate paragons, most of them would probably admit they have more worth (PvE wise) then a mesmer or assassin.
I don't know what all the hate toward Rits are... in most factions missions, I'd gladly take a Rit with a solid healing if there wassn't a monk available.
But on the topic, People obviously got the same assumtions about PvE Paragons that they did about PvE Assassins. People tried to play them like tanks, found out they were not tanks, and cried about it.
In PvP Paragons are pretty rare. It's hard to believe why though when they own so much.

Heres whats wrong with people, HENCHMEN are better than the average PUG, let alone hero, so i suggest getting a pro friend who realises that to and just use 6 heroes. Everything dies fast.

I think Pugs have hate for paragons because the average pug paragon bar that I've seen consists of either 5 attack skills + crap, or they try and use a sword/axe/hammer (No! No hammer for your paragon, no matter how you try and argue it) or they have 7 motivation chants + a res like rebirth. It's really incredible, and I can totally understand why paragons are underestimated by the average nonguru/forum/wiki goer, which is the majority of the gaming population according to Anet.

Pugs hate paragons because they are stupid.
Good players hate paragons because paragons are overpowered.

Either the 1st or 2nd best resource engine in the game.
When paragons came out, the 1st thing i checked were their spears attacks. I was, "what the hell they all cost 7+ adren?". Few did I know of how much faster is getting adrenaline when u are ranged. Then turn that int energy...
To sum up: Paras can bring whatever u need as elite, cast whatever support skill that costs shitloads of energy that u need, they do damage, they increase damage, they mitigate damage, they can take damage in a pinch thanks to shield+high armor+centurion's insig. All in the same skill bar in the same character at the same time.
Add TnTF+SY and you can throw a party.
2 Paragons will make your party god, clean
all hexes, kill everything in sight and can be the frontliners if they need to.
