attempt @ a paragon :D
Hey guys,
This is my 2nd attempt at a paragon. The first one I made, I still didn't understand the game much so I kinda got bored of it. Now though, I love paragons.
[spear of lightning][mighty throw][stunning strike][There's nothing to fear!][anthem of flame][Go for the eyes!][anthem of envy][aggressive refrain]
I wanted to do some good damage and buff my guildies (who are using warriors atm) pretty well. I'll put SY when I get it, which is after I'm done w/ Tyria and before I do Elona. I noticed though that [stunning strike] was kind of an andrenalin hog, especially with [anthem of envy] in the bar. Is there a way to kinda streamline the bar? I know u guys get this alot but help me

I would either swap out ["go for the eyes"] or [anthem of envy], (depending on your party makeup) for ["For great justice"]. Personally, I run anthem on my bar, but gfte has a lower adrenaline cost so in an adrenaline heavy bar it may be more efficient. FGJ will help fuel your adrenaline as well.
I also dislike [Mighty Throw]. It looks good on paper, but I found the aftercast just too annoying to use often! I don't know if it still has one or if that's been fixed, so disregard me if necessary. [Swift Javelin], or [Vicious attack] are quite nice, but it probably doesn't make that much of a difference. If you decide on GFTE, I'd suggest running Vicious.

See casting time on [Mighty Throw]? If you spam it, it slows down your adrenal gain a lot. Replace it with better, energy-costing, attack skill like [Vicious Attack].
There is more, but this is most important change.

If you feel Adrenaline Gain is hampered by Anthem of Envy, perhaps you could try [[Anthem of Weariness].
Ranged Deep Wound is also too sexy to give up in my opinion. I'd swap out Spear of Lightning for Vicious Attack (or alternatively swap out Mighty Throw for Merciless Spear - whichever tickles your fancy).
Otherwise it seems a pretty solid build, and ticks most of the right boxes; IAS, Party Support, Reasonable level of damage, good consideration of synergy between you and other team members...
If adrenaline concerns you, and you don't feel you can fit "For Great Justice!" or Focused Anger on your own bar, you could always team with another Paragon / Paragon Hero running [[Anthem of Fury] - might be especially useful if you roll with warriors a lot of the time also.

Hmm, I guess I'll change [Mighty throw] and [spear of lightning] for [vicious attack] and [swift javelin] and replace [Anthem of Envy] with [Anthem of Weariness]. I just thought the +17 dmg was great but I guess it really does take away from my adrenalin. [spear of fury] also looks great but I guess i'll have to wait till I get to Cantha for that.
So my bar now looks like:
[vicious attack][swift javelin][stunning strike][theres nothing to fear!][anthem of flame][go for the eyes!][anthem of weariness][aggressive refrain] and i'll switch out [swift javelin] for [spear of fury] when I get it. Is it good enough? And how would this build compare with a damage/offensive buff paragon using [focused anger] or another paragon elite?
edit: wow. this just ended up looking like the pvx build except w/ one extra attack. Is that good or bad?

you do know that you can get Kurzicks/Luxon PvE skills from the Factions Reward guy in your Guild Hall or anywhere else in PvP areas,
you dont need to go thru Factions just to get em
My paragon would hate me if she wouldnt have SY ^^
just go AB with another chara get r 1 kurzick/luxon and get the skill
ps: if you didnt do anything in factions yet and your paragon is your first chara to go there i'm sorry to make false asumptions

- [[Anthem of Flame] allows for more damage from physicals via Burning.
- For a party movement buff, take [["Fall Back!"].
- Take [[Remedy Signet] for self-condition removal.
- Allow teammates to inflict deep wound with [["Find Their Weakness!"].
- Get bonus adrenaline with [[Spear of Fury].

Honestly you don't need that much Command. I'd peel it back and up leadership and spear and drop the major leadership rune.
I used to love [[anthem of envy], until I noticed when I got the adrenaline going for it to be useful most enemies were under 50% health, so it became kinda useless.
Two energy anthems aren't needed-I stick with either Weariness or Flame (Weariness if you don't have a source of weakness in your party, flame if you).
For high adrenaline spear attacks, [[spear of fury] really excels. Just make sure you have a handy condition to use (I normally use [[you move like a dwarf] to get that going).
And to answer your question, I find that a build using [[focused anger] does less DPS than a build running [[cruel spear] or [[stunning strike], but it makes up for that with party support.

I agree. [spear of fury] is a must for a Stunning Strike build. I'd use [anthem of weariness] over [anthem of flame] because if nothing else it meets the condition requirement for Stunning Strike. Again, in going along with what Richardt said, I find myself bringing YMLaD more and more.
[anthem of weariness] -> [you move like a dwarf] -> [spear of fury] -> [go for the eyes] -> [vicious attack] -> a couple auto-attacks -> [stunning strike] = weakness, crippled, deep wound & daze
With regards to [focused anger], it's nice for good ol' fashioned SY spamming. From an offensive angle, I find you can almost constantly spam [blazing spear]. I don't use FA builds (other than imbagon) mainly because I like Stunning Strike, but whatever floats yer boat.

Interesting concept, but does it work well? How are you using Stunning Strike if your adrenaline is going to SY spamming?
Would'nt it be easier just to go straight up imbagon with [technobabble]?

Forget SY and Dazed stuff and go for raw power:
[build prof=P/? comma=6 lea=11 spe=12][you move like a dwarf][go for the eyes][i am the strongest][cruel spear][spear of fury (luxon)][blazing spear][aggressive refrain][signet of return][/build]

Isnt [technobabble] a bit high on energy cost? x:
Idk you should cope with adren pretty well, I mean, you only have two adrenalline skills and gunna be using [spear of fury] -> [stunning strike] to apply daze and one spear hit would be enough to charge sy! again because you gain 2 adren per hit, I think that stunning strike itself will charge sy! so you are likely to have more than enough adren to use sy!

I checked wiki and [technobabble]'s down to 10 energy now. If you're spamming shouts, you should be able to handle it.

The only reason I use Stunning Strike over Cruel Spear is because other classes can cause deep wound. You also have non-elite spear attacks that can cause deep wound.

WTF, uh why does [go for the eyes] have a -1...5 mana consumption (increase) in *HIS* linkage? Is this the new mana leech spell?
Heh, in all seriousness tho, for paragon party-style, I'd go P/W with the obvious [save yourselves] and [for great justice], in addition to [there's nothing to fear]. Get a furious spear mod (hint,hint)... Then just fill with whatever your APS/MPS can supply ([flurry][frenzy][aggressive refrain][enraging charge][ebon battle standard of honor]etc)...
WTB - furious bow string...
