Paragon: Attack or Defense
I have been looking at some of the paragon build and have found quite a variety. My question is should the paragon go offensive skills, defensive skills, or a combination of both? Thanks for you answers!!!

PvE-wise, the way you want it to be. If you set up your Heroes with a good build, you'll be able to c-space through most content anyway.
And it's not like you can't change your setup later on in the game. Try some builds.

Paragons dont have a great offensive. But have a great defensive. I say go as offensive untill you're into the harder areas of the game, then set up your team with 1 monk and alot of damage output, and you go Imbagon defensive.

i use the generic imbagon build while running racway
http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_Racway
to get 1 paragon hero you need to complete Grand Court of Sebelkeh (NF) and to get the other you need to complete Give Peace a Chance (EotN)

Cruel Spear is strong damage.

Paragons should go both. A paragon that focuses only on defense or offense is probably not a good one.

Well a paragon can do a good damage too, I believe that 60-70 damage is good but I use a diferent imbagon build that posted above. However, a paragon alone is not good, the build that I use need another 2 paragons heros to work well, I alternate the Stun strike (in one hero) with Cruel spear (in another) to maximize the damage/interrupt and work well. The third hero I use a RoJ monk Healer and until now I don't have problems with hex, conditions and I can play in NM and HM very well. My problem using paragon is a good pvp build for AB, JQ and others...
Imbagon: OQGjUumI6SFZxgAh5i7YpbXFubA
Hayda: OQCjUymIqO7YLs8+CXhFyBZ3NA
Morgan: OQCjUymIqO7YLs8W8H+ZwBZ3NA
Healer: OwAT0U3CRynx6LC0lw35uxB8dCA
Enjoy

Fixed for gwbbcode. Just type [pre][build=TemPLAteCOdeGOeshereGOGOGO][/pre] to display the build when you post a template. If you quote this post, leave out the [pre] tags.

I like the builds you posted Ney, but I have a few quibbles.
First off, I don't really like the smite monk there at all. I think it would be much better to have a Blood Orders Necro there instead. The necro can also provide enchantment removal using [rip enchantment] and [foul feast] if conditions is really a problem. In addition, the necro can go /Mo secondary for hex removal (which is quite necessary in NF) and [aegis].
That IMO would be more useful than a RoJ smite monk.
I also don't see Anthem of Flame to be very useful whatsoever, especially in HM. If you want a condition for Stunning Strike, Barbed Spear would be more useful.

Thank MisterB for the advice, the post above was my first and I don't know how to use the code for the skills.
So, Master Sasori, the 3° hero is very optional and u can change and use anyone, I like the RoJ monk to aditional damage and the heal that he provide is enought for the group. A order is useful too, but optional, really don't need the extra adrenaline, so, a Nuker work well than a MM, but a MM slow down the party, but the enchant and hex removal is a very good option and I'll try with my heroes. About [Anthem of Flame], I preffer this skill than [Barbed Spear] because the first is a chant and give the possibility of everyone in the party give the condition, Barbed Spear will be limited to the paragons, but if you will fight against destroyers, for example, [Barbed Spear] is the best option.
Well, good to see new possibilitys.
Thy
I try to create a build to increase Conditions/Hex/Enchant removal, like sugested above. I tested the build in Blacktide Den/Lahtenda Bog and work well with one monk (henchman) in HM.
| Blood Magic | 10 + 1 + 1
| Curses | 8 + 1
| Soul Reaping | 8 + 1
| Healing Prayers | 7
[build=OANUQUDew2RbBTCGC7OJgaCTfvTA]
However the energy is a problem, one time he uses [Foul Feast] like an insane ([Aggressive Refrain] give us Broken armor), for this reason I prefer to use [Well of Power]. When you play in areas whitout hexes, try change the atributes from heal prayers to protection prayers and change [Cure Hex] from [Aegis].
Look good, My paragons deal a lot of damage, only changing the Roj Monk for this Necro.
Suggestions?

Plague Sending instead of Plague Touch
I would use both offence and defence, and prefer Stunning Strike to Cruel Spear

The build Sugested By Crassus Praetor in the two versions: [build=OANUQUDewmSbBTCGC7OJgVCTfvTA] Hex
[build=OANUQUDewnSbBTCGC7OJgVCBEvTA] Without Hex
I'll test and post.
Ps.: One alternative from [Anthem of Flame] (using the build above) is change it from ["Never Give Up!"] for extra energy, ["Never Surrender!"] for extra regen or [Hexbreaker Aria] for extra Hex removal.

I would prefer something along the lines of:
[build prof=Ne/Mo name="Orders" Sou=11+1+1 Blo=10+1 Pro=10][Empathic Removal][Dark Fury][Order of Pain][Masochism][Foul Feast][Aegis][Protective Spirit][Signet of Lost Souls][/build]
Although I reckon [[well of power] is quite good too.

I agree with MS, I think a the difference between a good Paragon and a great one is finding the balance between both.
The Furious Shouter and the Imbagon both do a good job of this.
