Oh my god...compeltely the wrong class for that style of farming.

Not enough pips of energy regen for enchs/not enough energy in general.

Too high an armour (even at the lowest level).

Can't get the necessary runes/attributes.

Plus you can't then get things like mantro of resolve.

Xsiriss already commented the 55hp and 600 stuff, which I complately agree with for the same reason (and because paragons don't have a skill that would actually help tanking for 600, like Rts have extra damage from Vengefull)

For elite missions, paragons are sometimes wanted (usually for 1 thing, save yourself spammer) I would advise checking pvx for popular builds and see how often paragons are loved, not that much anymore though.

You can also try out an Assassin's Promise build. Add a couple energy gain shouts/chants and other cool toys?

Any class can do 600 style farming. There was a ton of x/mo cof runner builds. However the main problem is that you'll need to run 2 heroes the 1 with spellbreaker and the smiter. Plus you won't have blessed aura for a long lasting soa. You also don't have any good elites to use unfortunately.

But you could make a 600 style farmer (I know it's been done on wars before too) you just would have a lot more microing to do since you'd need a spellbreaker hero as well. You may also need a bip smiter to regain energy after battles.

A 55 Paragon "works" about as well as a 55 Warrior. It can be done, but it is far from efficient. As far as armor in a Spirit Bond or "600" build, you just have to run around naked, which shouldn't be a problem for a class accustomed to not wearing any pants.

Paragon is the worst class for solo farms. This is not the farming forum.

You can put Spell Breaker on the smiting hero.

Have you tested the order of effects for ToF and PS?

There are some old links here in guru for 55 Para and farming in general. Quick search turned up these:

Last one is 600/smite guide for all professions in CoF. But if rumors are true, ANet may hit some of the skills for 600/smite soon. There are also some builds you can run to solo the beach and spider cave in FoW, but I don't know them. My warrior does that better and faster. You might try adapting the W/Rt VwK build for a P/Rt.

I agree with other posters here in saying that paragons are typically bad at solo farming. Most solo farms a paragon could do are better done by another class.

That said, here are a couple farms for which I have enjoyed using a paragon.

Sand drakes in Vulture Drifts (for topaz crests). Go as P/W and spec high in tactics. Alternate between gladiator's defense and disciplined stance to defend against their melee attacks, and use healing signet to heal. Haha, their ward against melee is useless against your spear attacks.

Gargoyles in Diessa Lowlands (for gargoyle skulls). Drink booze and use drunken master skill to run around with IMS and IAS, spearing low level gargoyles. Go as P/D for vow of strength, use pious restoration to remove hexes.

Farming with a hero/hench team is another story. For example, using a hero/hench team, it's possible for an imbagon to farm glint's challenge for cloth of the brotherhood.

The last time I checked, Imbagons were pretty useful in DoA already.

Solo farming. I do it on my paragon. But please, do not ask me to reveal my build to you, because I will not share it with anyone. I know better than to give builds out. Builds that become popular are the ones likely to get nerfed. Think about Ursan, Shadow Form, 600/smiting, etc. But, I make a ton of money doing it.

Ok, let me tell you about my own experiences in this matter, as a dedicated Paragon player since Nightfall's release.

One easy, yet effective solo farming build I've found to work in many situations is simply a P/Rt spirit spammer. Bloodsong, Vampirism, Signet of Spirits, etc. along with Spiritleech Aura, Armor of Unfeeling, and/or other spirit enhancing skills and Spirit Siphon to manage energy works for farming whatever Nicholas might be collecting many weeks.

I long ago tossed out my starter armor, so I haven't really done much testing with 600ing, but that might prove harder on a Paragon, with high armor ratings to contend with, in addition to the slower energy regeneration. 55 hp builds are "workable," though. I have found that taking a Bonder hero or two works out best in that situation. If you plan it correctly, you can even get by with 2 copies of Protective Bond placed on you from 2 monks, without fear of them losing energy (they split the cost) or having to constantly recast Protective Spirit.

Sadly, in these cases, as well as other farming builds I have come up with, my Paragon has not really the ideal profession for such feats, as others have said a few times already. She ends up forgoing many of her own class skills in favor of becoming a "wannabe" version of another class. There is a P/Mo Dead Sword Farm build on PvXwiki which does use mostly Paragon skills, but I find it to be too much trouble to juggle all the echos and whatnot for my taste. The build I keep falling back on when I want to farm mindlessly is that spirit spammer I mentioned.

As far as elite missions go, most of the time it boils down to playing an Imbagon if a group will accept you at all. In a few team builds of yore, I've seen "Porogons" (P/Rt with Vocal was Sogolon and some party-wide shouts, like Fall Back! and There's Nothing to Fear!) being of core importance, but alas, I've personally yet to run into anyone who has asked for such in outposts.

Keep your fingers crossed for some Paragon loving in the upcoming skill balance! In the meanwhile, I'll keep trying out crazy ideas and tell you if I stumble across anything outstanding.
