Hi

I'm started WoC on HM and it was going pretty well until the quest "Warning the Angchu". I just get completely raped by the Ministry of they instagib Soar :/ I've been reading and test most paragon and hero builds suggested here on the forums and no luck. I also now the quest has a bit of luck on the spawns, but I've tried a big number of times and still no luck :|

Can anyone give me some tips on how to play that area?

Most common build i try:

Me - Imbagon or Cruel Spear or P/R with pet or some other crazy build

SoS Rit / SoGM Rit / MM Necro
SoS Rit / ST Rit / MM Necro
SoS Rit / ER Ele / MM Necro
and so on...

I Feel i dont do enough damage as paragon, and if i switch a hero to a more offensive one, the ministry will wipe the floor with our heads :/

Most close attempt i had was me with a human sin (also with SY) and a MM and prot monk.

I would really appreciate any help on this matter

You're lacking damage, see mesmer meta builds. Also, micro prot spirit on Soar so he doesn't get spiked down. SY is very helpful as well.

My team was me as a barrage+sy ranger (w/ hero casting splinter on me), SoS/resto hero meta, MM bomber/prot meta, panic mesmer meta. I also used a ghastly summoning stone.

Save yourselves is key here and I can say it's the reason I survived. I cannot stress how important it is. Stand behind the angchu and let them tank the initial aggro.

I did it with SoS, Heal Burst monk and Panic mesmer. They key is to let Angchu take the dmg and Panic the 1st group of foes asap.

I've also found that it helps if I park myself and heroes (except for the mm) on the other side of the ministry from Soar and the angchu. If you can get the main group attack you, Soar can usually hang on until you have gotten rid of them.

On my Paragon, I went Ursan, and I took an Ineptitude Mesmer and an Assassin (friend), and a Burst Monk. The foes just balled up properly for me some how while they died with ease. If you're looking for help, shoot me a PM

When I did it on my Paragon, i completed it with a MM and SoGM/hybrid. With a E-Surge mes. Micro your spirits to the backside of the Ministry and plant your minions in the middle of them. If placed correctly the Ministry will target the spirits and minions first. Kill the casters first and gg.

I failed in this mission many, many times. But then...with no radical changes on my setup, I succeeded.My guess is that I was getting some bad spawns.

Maybe all you need is a good spawn.

But poping some cons/summoning stones/wards in the last fight can surely help.

there is also that one summons the war horn or the newist woc summons that can help ass numbers too

As my paragon got to the quest and finished it on first try, here is a screenshot with the builds I used.

Key strategies:

1. pop shelter and union just as Soar's dialogue line about dying as warriors on the battlefield is playing. Flag this hero behind the tengu.

2. flag the sos in front of soar, and as the dialogue about dying as warriors on the battlefield plays, allow him to pop his spirits. after that, flag him closer to soar, right in front of him.

Resto necro does not need any micro.

Keep SY! up as much as possible, this way shelter and union are just there to protect the tengu. anthem of flame+use spear of fury followed by merciless spear to spike priority targets to force kills.

consumables and summons can be used, but are not needed.

After many tries I got the best results with Wielder of Magic's build, but still getting killed by the reinforcment mobs.

Then I decided I needed more damage (I had no summoning stones I could use) upfront to kill the first mob faster, so I took out the ST Rit and put a Jagged Bones MM and did the quest on first attempt.
