This is kind of outdated since most of these builds use aggressive refrain and now that causes cracked armor which totally defeats the purpose of having high armor.

Most people still use it.

You are still ranged, with a shield, and with some of, if not the best defensive support in the game.

Aggressive Refrain is still the best IAS a paragon has, and probably one of the best skills in the Paragon's arsenal.

I beat NF with my P/N with mainly these skills with Hench & Heroes;load order from left to right:-
Wild Throw, Cruel Spear, Signet of Agression, Leaders Comfort, Parasitic Bond, Faintheartedness, Light Bringers Gaze (Optional from after chantry of secrets) & Signet of Return. This allowed me to spam spears and and degen and maintain health quite well. sig of return helped with with quick rez as backup. Attribs: 13 Spear Mastery, 10 Leadership 10 Curses. Not the best build but it worked for me. Have Fun.

Just take those cheats (pve skills) from paragon and warrior. Grats with your new godmode.

I wanted to know what would you guys would me recommend getting with my Book of Secrets? Should I get one of the spears? or one of the shields? I am currently tempted to get the q9 Motivation shield because it has +10 armor vs fire damage. The thing is, my current build doesn't use any motivation skills whatsoever....so far it seems that almost no motivations skills are worth using...any advice?

That's a hard call.

I would say spear since you can easily get q9 shields from other sources.

I ran across an R5 Tactics AR14 Great Conch shield while raptor farming back in the day when I did it in normal mode. Are the extra 2 points of armor significant enough to worry about getting a better shield? Obviously with only 5 tactics, I can spec that extra point into something else.

So far the only thing that is really tooling me in PvE are the Angorodon's in EOTN. I'm running Olias as a spiteful curser, MOX as a orders dervish, and Vekk. I just got Hayda last night, so I was going to add her in Vekk's place with a Song of Purification build. As someone more used to playing a Necro with Sabway heroes, I'm still a little uncomfortable not having a mass of minions following me everywhere...

Voodoo... Use is dude, 2 armor is a minor loss for the extra points you can spec to spear...

I currently use a R7 AL15 Command sheild on my para, I run 15 Spear, 12 Leader and 7 command...

Raptor farming is the shizznezz for getting paragon weapons...

great guide u did there... u put alot into it
im using the Cruel Commander build with my P/W, and i think that the skill Flail should be replaced, paragons cant raise the strengh attribute therfore the skill (flail) only lasts for 1 sec and it is just an adrenaline waste
plz respond of what u think about it thx anyway from LazyLies

Flail has been changed since this guide was originally posted. It originally had a longer duration at 0 Strength. I think it was 5 seconds.
