When fully infused, the degen of Agony is only 3 or 4. With a few pieces not infused, the amount of degen you take goes up.
I was never able to kill the caster mursaat with 55mes, because life transfer slaughters me, energy denial hurts, knockdown sucks... etc..

When i played as 55 i used extremely low prot, like 7, so i cuold boost up divine to 10, smiting to 16 and healing to 12 (+1 while casting mending), and put some points to tactics or ws or anything else.

A great way to get energy back is Bonnetti's defence. Be monk/warrior and use it, aggro alot of enemies on you and use bonetti's whenever you need energy. You'll have max energy in seconds.

Instead of watchful spirit you could use insidous parsite since you're using max curse anyways.
I've solo'd jades, mursaat with my invinci necro np. Ya the E-denial and interrupts are a pain from the mursaat mesmers but you can kill them if you have other enemies feeding you energy from essence bond and balth spirit to fuel the fight against the mesmer. Mursaat monks suck, as do the mursaat necros so I would advise not to even bother trying since life transfer is a no-no with a 55 hp build and contemplation of purity will remove SS.
Personally the jades drop better then the mursaat IMo.
Stances are not going to do you much good vs the jade armors.
Aotl is a must have build for any solo necro. Ya it doesn't have the "punch" like SS but consider it the necro's version of a monks balth spirit but giving you the old-school protective bond damage reduction. Spam your AoE everytime touch of agony is recharged and they will not flee providing you are not running any faster recharge blood skills

Ahh, ring of fire, I soloed it, killed 2 mesmers and 2 ele at once. The key point is timing and persistance, 1 mistake = dead. After you get far enough, look out for nightmares, you can solo a nightmare if theres only 1 of it. The ether Tower owns you though, and as far as I can tell, further up in the trail, you'll have to pass 1, you'll die from there, better off farming musaat in icefloe.
