I honestly don't think its overpowered, because as has been stated numorus times, you have to get in, and that surely isn't easy, and those who are saying that its upsetting that you can have level 18 minions with 0 Death, this is true, but not very likely. You underestimate the discouragement of that 50% chance of failure. And another thing----Even if you do steal these minions regardless of points in Death magic, you stlil need to keep them alive.

No one running VA would worry about keeping the summons alive. You've done your damage just by stealing them.

The damage is caused by the sudden side change of all that damage and body blocking. You'll have taken a MM (running around 20 summons) and halved or more his power.

Yes, MMs will be forced to take along VA.
Yes, it becomes a game of who can wait the longest.

It will be interesting to see how large the area of effect is. After all, if you don't get enough minions - you just dropped half you health and could still be in range of some ticked off summons.
