Default Necromancer with a Bow?

Just curious if there are viable builds out there (PVP and PvE) that could possibly utilize a bow in a N/R build? ANy help would be appreciated

The original thread was pushed way deep by all the MM "nerf" discussions, but this thread, has some great information for ya.

Thanks bunches

I read through but it seems to be more about N/R vs N/Mo, and which would be a better MM build.

I like ranged attacks, and I like some of the N skills.. but.. I'm not sure how to bring it all together into a build that will succeed in both PvP and PvE (with minor tweaks to benefit each). And.. I really do prefer the way Necro's look to Ranger's lol... so I'd preferably run a N/R It may seem shallow and a dumb reason to pick a primary.. but.. I figure if I gotta look at him for hours upon hours, I might as well be happy with it

mark of pain and dual shot maybe? or serpents quickness -> mark of pain multiple targets -> barrage. would cause scattering but thats not all bad.

If you want to be an archer you will be lacking the runes and head gear to go along with it, not to mention the Expertise to lower the cost of the attacks. Perhaps you could make up for it with high soul reaping in PvE, doubtful in PvP.

It could work but ra/ne would be better still.

yeah, after doing my own HW, it seems that it would be best to go r/n, to get the benefit of using both profs

Sorry about that first link. I meant to lead you to these:

Necro w/ Beasts
N/R Archers

But yeah, if you want to use a bow and the associated skills, R primary has too many advantages. I do like how my N looks... but my R just uses the bow better.

ignite arrow
MoP
Dual Shot
suffering
parrasitic bond
feast of corruption

i use those skills often as N/R or skills simmilar

also, using a 15% Vs hexed bow helps
