ritualist/necro ot necro/ritualist
i was just wondering, for when factions is released, what would be better
necros are good for their soul reaping energy gain whenever something dies
yet, spawning would be helpful keeping all those minions and spirits alive longer
i cant decide what to do . . .

is you're going for Minions, definitely Rt/N
Spawning power can help you boost your minion's hp, and there are skills under spawning power that help you regenerate energy.

Hi
I disagree, remember the minions you will make as a Rt/N will be much lower level so will have less armour, so personally im not ure which will be more effective at tanking, however necro primaries will still do lots more damage than Rt primaries.

If you want a large, maintained army, the go necro. If you want to use minions like spirits, sort term basis, then go Ritualist.

If you can manage the energy, definitely go Rt/N.
If you can't, you'll need the energy from Soul Reaping and you'll have to go N/Rt.
P.S. Remember Explosive Growth and Boon of Creation if you go Rt/N, they work for Minions/Fiends/Horrors/Golems too.
And if you want an ultimate Death Nova bomb, check out Signet of Creation(works better with a N/Rt, actually).

I'd take Necro primary most likely for the Soul Reaping. The constant flow of nrg from the spirits can't justify going Rt just to be able to use a few skills. Plus the most important Rt spirits are good at lower levels (still blint, interrupt, strip chants, etc.), while low lvl minions are meh.

N/Rt would be better for MM since u can have an increased Verata's sacrifice. i've only seen 1 Rt skill with comparable results to Verata's and after 30 seconds all of ur minions/spirits die with no consideration to hp (it's unatural signet or something near that i beleive). So N/Rt would be fat more effective. On the topic of spawning power vs levels, i beleive there is the same effect no matter what skill u use, and soul reaping could be much more powerful.

a ritualist's fiend with 16 in spawning and 12 in death magic has 150 more health then a fiend of a necro with 16 in death magic...
BTW: explosive growth = a "putroid exploision" on each corpse that you exploit...

Yes, the arguments about Explosive Growth and Spawning Power are very good but think about the nrg cost of Necro Minions and also the fact that higher level minions have higher armor (and sometimes 10 more armor does make a difference). I will personally try them both and see how I feel about it before I make the final judgement. I'd still take Veratas over Sig of Creation.

N/Rt > Rt/N
reason: lvl 18 minions are better than lvl 14 ones.

Recent changes to the typical small army MM might level the playing field between these two. Boon of Creation works well enough to keep energy high enough to mantain an army.

I'm still leaning towards Rt/n For me the Minions are more of a distraction while I do other things. Let them interact with the Enemies until I'm ready.
Honestly though, hows one going to learn to use them properly?

I went for Rt/N. His spawning power allows bone minions, horrors, etc to last longer. And because I wanted to play as a ritualist of course

Anyone got a good way to target your minions to give them death nova's? All I can do at the moment is try and hover over them with my mouse and hope i click on the right one. Is there a way to configure a hotkey? Thanks.
